Hughey Leaves McConnell on Fumes
Level 30
: Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Cody Hughey and Kyle McConnell clashed in a big pot that altered the fate of both players.
Each player put 1,200,000 each preflop to take a flop of 5♠K♥2♥. Hughey shoved from the big blind, and McConnell called to put Hughey at risk as McConnell had him barely covered.
Cody Hughey: K♦Q♠
Kyle McConnell: K♠10♥
Hughey had the best of it. The 5♣ turn and the 4♥ river did not change that as Hughey won a massive pot to take the chip lead and leave McConnell with just 100,000 in chips.
