Nick Rigby Bags Big in Final Flight
Play has concluded for Day 1c of the $1,300 Main Event here at the RunGood Poker Series Passport Season Maryland hosted by MGM National Harbor Hotel & Casino. Of the 171 runners who started the day, only 22 players will return for Day 2 on Sunday, all of whom are already in the money.
RGPS Ambassador Nick Rigby ascended to the top of the leaderboard, bagging an impressive 821,000, good for second in the overall counts heading into the final day of action. He began building a big stack after the dinner break, and never looked back.
Ake Ngamsaard also surged late in the day to finish right on Rigby’s heels with 782,000, while Roy Kim secured a top-three stack with 758,000.

Players to Keep an Eye On
RunGood Ambassador Julie Cornelius bagged 500,000 on the dot after battling with Rigby late in the day.
RunGood tournament director Michael Murphy was off the clock and threw his hat in the ring. After having an up-and-down afternoon, he managed to find a triple up to stay alive, and continued his momentum by securing a bag.
Others to look out for as Day 2 plays out include Marshall Tarzy (365,000), Arash Asadabadi (344,000), Chunyu Yang (270,000), Lucas Vergara (170,000), and Michael Marder (113,000).
Those Who Fell Short
RunGood Ambassadors Nikki Limo and Chris Conrad were in the mix on Day 1c, both making it past the dinner break before exiting not long after.
Local tournament grinders Alan Gendelman and Z Stein both stuck around for a good portion of the day, but neither could find a bag.
Other notables who fell short include Kai Nicholls, Changfen Fan, Renato Labadan, Hamid Izadi, and Brandon Frazier.
The remaining 40 players who qualified will return for Day 2 on Sunday, April 19, at 12:15 p.m. local time where the event will play down to a winner. The tournament structure will resume in Level 14 with blinds at 3,000/6,000 with a 6,000 big blind ante.
