A doubleheader of Day 1 flights played to a finish today at the RunGood Poker Series Jamul Casino $575 Main Event. Day 1b and 1c finished up at San Diego's Jamul Casino poker room, and the tournament moves on to Day 2 on Sunday.

Day 1b drew 174 entries, with 42 players making it through to Day 2. Day 1c brought 122 entries to the latest RGPS Main Event, with 25 players surviving to put chips in a bag.

The three Day 1 flights yielded 425 total entries, with the final prize pool ending up at $212,500. That number marks more than double the amount of the Main Event's $100,000 guarantee.

Saturday's action saw players like Lance Winsaft (238,500), Eric Brannon (236,000), Ronald Oeding (195,000), and Yary Hing (195,000) emerge with big stacks. Play resumes at noon local time Sunday, with the blinds at 2,000/3,000,3,000.

The 96 remaining players will compete for 54 money spots. The first-place prize of $43,070 awaits the winner, along with an RG All-Stars ring.

Other players bagging from Day 1B and Day 1c included Tavish Margers (118,000), Alex Green (116,500), Jason Cohen (78,500), and David Tuchman (28,500). All players making the money will score at least a minimum cash of $915.

After several minutes, Speck's opponent decided on a fold. Speck moved up to 39,000 with about 15 minutes left on the final level of the night.
