Big Slick Bests Big Slick

A series of raises saw Jesse McCrady get his last 18,800 in preflop from middle position with a six-bet shove, and Zarren Egesdal had him at risk on the button with a call.

Jesse McCrady: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}
Zarren Egesdal: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

A roar came from the table when the {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop gave McCrady the nut flush and a lock on the hand before the {2-Spades} turn or {2-Clubs} river could fall. Egesdal took the beat in stride, telling McCrady "Nice hand!" before paying off the majority of his stack.

Soja's Day Cut Short

"Well, that was quick!" Brian Soja told the PokerNews desk as he made his exit from the poker room. "Boat over boat. Hey, that's poker!" Soja said he would not be reentering today's Day 1b flight, but may possibly give Day 1c a shot.

A quick glance at Soja's former table revealed that Timothy Sciscoe was the benefactor of the full house clash.

Larson's Queens Take From Skreens

Emily Larson raised to 400 from middle position, and was called by Bryan Skreens in the hijack and the player in the big blind.

The big blind checked to Larson, who bet 600. Skreens called and the big blind folded.

Larson checked the {j-Hearts} turn, and Skreens bet 1,300. Larson called.

Both players checked the {j-Clubs} river, and Larson tabled {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}. Skreens mucked.

Soja Makes Broadway on Hanson

Doc Hanson
Doc Hanson

Three players invested 1,000 to see a {q-Hearts}{10-Spades}{3-Diamonds} flop together, and the small blind checked the action to Brian Soja in the big blind. Soja checked as well, and Doc Hanson bet 1,000. Both the small blind and Soja called.

The {6-Spades} turn was checked through to the {j-Diamonds} river, and the small blind checked again.

"Thirty-five," Soja said before flicking a 5k chip into the pot. Hanson quickly called, and the small blind folded. Soja tabled {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts} for the nuts, and Hanson showed his {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts} and said, "Thought for sure I had that hand!" with a wry grin on his face.

Emily Larson Hoping to Ink a Second RunGood Poker Series Victory

Emily Larson
Emily Larson

Minnesota's Emily Larson loves many things, including her profession as a tattoo artist and the Los Angeles Dodgers. Larson is also a lover of the RunGood Poker Series, as she proudly represents the RunGood Poker Series as a pro player, and she's backed up this status with the biggest win of her career coming from a RunGood Poker Series preliminary event.

In 2019's RunGood Poker Series Horseshoe Tunica stop, Larson was one of the final four players in Event #2: $185 Deepstack NLH. Wielding the chip lead, she made a deal which left her with the biggest payday of both the tournament and her career, as she netted a $12,000 payday and a championship ring for her efforts.

Larson has been here all week firing, and will be looking to make her way to her second RunGood Poker Series Final Table in hopes of topping her previous high score on tour.
