Dick's Last Resort

Level 4 : 200/300, 300 ante
Craig Dick
Craig Dick

Steve Vang checked a {k-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop from under the gun, and Craig Dick jammed his last 5,300 in from middle position. The button folded and Vang called.

Craig Dick: {9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Steve Vang: {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}

Dick's combo draw would fail to hit on the {a-Clubs} turn and {3-Spades} river.

"You jumping back in?" the button asked Dick, and Dick simply shook his head and exited the tournament area.

Dion Gets There

Level 4 : 200/300, 300 ante

Howard Dion raised to 1,000 from under the gun, and a player in middle position three-bet to 2,500. Dion called.

Both players checked the {10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} flop, and Dion checked the {q-Diamonds} turn. The middle-position player bet 3,000, and Dion took a look at his opponent's remaining stack before calling.

Dion jammed when the {6-Spades} hit the river, and the middle-position player called, tabling {a-}{q-}. That was beat by the {k-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} of Dion, however, and Dion picked up a pot to help him catch up to prohibitive chip leader and tablemate Josh Zuron.
