Koplimaa Doubles; Bayley Bubbles the Final Table

Level 33 : 80,000/160,000, 20,000 ante

Markku "markovitsus" Koplimaa doubled twice and the second time was against "danechka1991".

Koplimaa was all-in with the {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} and had to fear aces and broadway cards only as "danechka1991" tabled the {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades}. On a board of {k-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{j-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}, Koplimaa had the checkmark on the turn.

Another short stack at risk was Bertie "bigstealer" Bayley who flipped with the {8-Hearts}{8-Spades} against the {a-Spades}{k-Hearts} of "Play4livin". The flop was deadly for Bayley as the {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{q-Spades}{4-Spades} board immediately gave "Play4livin" a full house.

A New Chipleader Emerges

Level 31 : 60,000/120,000, 15,000 ante

The biggest pot of the tournament so far has seen a new chip leader with 14 players remaining as Day 1 chip leader "Sasuke234" has been eliminated by Jorryt "TheCleaner11" van Hoof .

Both had an ace- they went for it and "Sasuke234" was in need of help with {a-Clubs}{j-Spades} versus {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}. But it was van Hoof that came out on top on the {q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{2-Spades} board to deal the final blow to the Swedish online MTT crusher.

Second Break With 16 Remaining

Level 30 : 50,000/100,000, 12,500 ante
Nolet20 Eliminated
Nolet20 Eliminated

The frantic action has not slowed down at all and just 16 players remain after the next 55-minute session at the tables.

Within what appears to have been four minutes, as many players were eliminated.

The first to go was "L1VeYRdrEamS" who put his hopes on the {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} with around nine big blinds. "FeriBo" called on the button with {a-Clubs}{j-Spades} and the {a-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{3-Diamonds} board gave "FeriBo" top pair.

Guillaume "Nolet20" Nolet came up short with the {a-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} as chip leader "m.a-0000" remained ahead with {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds} on a board of {4-Spades}{2-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{3-Spades}{2-Diamonds}.

A short-stacked "Belqi" was all-in for fewer than 10 big blinds with the {a-Spades}{3-Clubs} and "Play4livin" got there with {j-Hearts}{8-Hearts} as he had pushed blind-on-blind and the {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} board delivered the jack on the turn.

The last bustout before the break was Fabiano "Kovalski1" Kovalski who was at risk with {a-Clubs}{2-Clubs} on the button and faced the {7-Hearts}{7-Spades} of "Cottonbud07" in the big blind. The final outcome can be found below.

Arends Among Next Casualties

Level 28 : 35,000/70,000, 8,750 ante
cardinals970 eliminated
cardinals970 eliminated

Only 25 players remain as another trio has run out of chips entirely fewer than 90 minutes into the final day.

First it was "cardinals970" that saw his hopes dashed by "kZhh" when his overpair on the {7-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop with {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} ended up second best to the {j-Diamonds}{7-Spades} of the Hungarian. The {7-Hearts} appeared on the turn and the {k-Clubs} on the river was a blank.

"DanielLUCKY" was somewhat unlucky with a button jam holding {q-Clubs}{j-Hearts} as Bertie "bigstealer" Bayley with the {j-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} came along out of the big blind. The {8-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} board pulled the Brit into the lead on the flop and he remained there to score the knockout.

Ultimately, the wild ride of Jans "Graftekkel" Arends also came to an end. A rather ordinary flip with {9-Hearts}{9-Spades} was the last hand of the Dutch regular who came up short versus Fabiano "Kovalski1" Kovalski's {a-Spades}{k-Spades} on a {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{6-Hearts} board.

Arends Goes Runner Runner to Bust Kiselev

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Pete “psxfrcndhe" Chen has taken a big hit early on and Daniil "Dancer King" Kiselev was then eliminated, as was Luan "Pseudo Fruto" Felipe.

Kiselev defended his big blind against a min-raise by Jans "Graftekkel" Arends and they checked the {10-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{7-Spades} flop. Kiselev check-called a bet of 172,000 on the {a-Hearts} turn and check-called a shove on the {a-Clubs} river.

Kiselev had flopped a straight with the {9-Clubs}{6-Clubs} but Arends hit running cards for a full house with the {a-Spades}{7-Clubs}.

Who Will Win the Title in the 2020 SCOOP Event #02-H: $2,100 NLHE?

Guillaume Nolet among the big stacks heading into Day 2
Guillaume Nolet among the big stacks heading into Day 2

Eight hours and 50 minutes of poker action have already been completed in the 2020 PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) Event #02-H: $2,100 NLHE and the field of 575 entries has been cut down to the final 43 hopefuls, who will be back in their virtual seats as of 1 p.m. local time. The biggest slice of the cash and bounty prize pool worth $1,150,000 in total is still up for grabs and a familiar face is at the top of the counts for the final day.

Sweden's "Sasuke234" is certainly no slouch when it comes to online MTT's and currently ranks 13th in the world according to Pocket Fives, back in 2017 he even went up to as high as 2nd place. "Sasuke234" has already racked up more than $12 million in cashes, of which nearly $5.7 million belong to his moniker on PokerStars. The last six-figure score was fewer than two weeks ago when he took down High Rollers 45: $5,200 NLHE [8-Max, Main Event], $1M Gtd event for $272,953.14.

"Sasuke234" enters the final day as only player above three million in chips with 3,196,370, and he is followed by "kZhh" with 2,966,657 and 2019 EPT Barcelona €1,100 National winner Markku "markovitsus" Koplimaa (2,899,468). Other above-average stacks belong to Eder "edercampana" Campana (2,784,780), Guillaume "Nolet20" Nolet (2,676,745), Pete “psxfrcndhe" Chen (2,051,850), "manuverd0n" (1,735,940), and Bertie "bigstealer" Bayley (1,647,000).

The Dutch hopes in the Day 2 field are on "0m3rta" (,059,142), Jorryt "TheCleaner11" van Hoof (1,236,870) and Jans "Graftekkel" Arends (1,166,809), while former PokerStars Championship Panama winner Kenneth "kenny05" Smaron (877,911), WSOP bracelet winner Christopher "lissi stinkt" Frank (753,092) and Argentinian high stakes grinder Ivan "Negriin" Luca (624,065) are other big names to watch out for.

As of 1 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST), the blinds will recommence at 17,500/35,000 with a running ante of 4,500. Until the end of level 36, the levels remain 20 minutes long and increase to 30 minutes each thereafter. An additional 10 seconds will be added to the time bank for each one hour played.

The smallest progressive knockout bounty thus far is worth $1,500 while the largest currently stands at $10,031,25, both amounts are expected to fluctuate rapidly on the way to crowning a champion. Stay tuned right here on PokerNews to find out who adds a SCOOP title and possible top cash prize of more than $88,000 to their resume.
