Simunic Takes Out Hartmann

Level 28 : 17,500/35,000, 4,500 ante
Simunic vs Hartmann
Simunic vs Hartmann

Josip "Jozinho6" Simunic raised to 73,500 from the hijack and Pascal "Päffchen" Hartmann three-bet to 210,000 on the button. The blinds quickly got out of their way and Simunic made the call.

The flop came {k-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{q-Spades}, Simunic check-called the 127,125 bet of Hartmann.

The turn brought them the {j-Diamonds}, Simunic checked again and now Hartmann barreled a bet of 385,000 into the pot. Simunic responded with a raise to put Hartmann all-in who called for his last 1,220,043.

Pascal "Päffchen" Hartmann: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Josip "Jozinho6" Simunic: {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}

Hartmann had flopped a set of kings but Simunic had turned a Broadway. Hartmann needed the board to pair up to stay alive but the river completed the board with the {2-Clubs} instead to sent Hartmann out of the tournament in 154th place. Simunic collected the $645.31 bounty and got the same amount added to his own bounty.
