Abreu and "fortunato_2b" Eliminated

Level 29 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante
ARTSchGamble busts jorginho88
ARTSchGamble busts jorginho88

Jorge "jorginho88" Abreu opened to 160,000 and called a three-bet to 520,099 by "ARTSchGamble" in the small blind. On a {q-Spades}{4-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{7-Clubs} board, "ARTSchGamble" fired three barrels and his push on the river was called by Abreu with {a-Spades}{q-Hearts} for top pair and top kicker. "ARTSchGamble" had the best of it with {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}, though.

One hand later, "ARTSchGamble" doubled table neighbor "wktak1" with {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} versus {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts} when the chips went in preflop and the {9-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{8-Hearts} board brought no surprise.

Fast forward another hand, "wktak1" aimed to win a pot off Simon "C. Darwin2" Mattsson and folded to a check-shove.

"fortunato_2b" then ran with {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts} into the {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} of "necgaidziai" and pulled off no upset on a {q-Hearts}{10-Spades}{5-Spades}{5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} board.

Two Double Ups for a Change

Level 28 : 35,000/70,000, 8,750 ante
ivan limeira doubles through jorginho88
ivan limeira doubles through jorginho88

After the break, two all-in showdown took place and as many double ups would be awarded when "fortunato_2b" and "ivan limeira" held up.

"fortunato_2b" was all-in from the button with the {a-Diamonds}{5-Spades} as the blinds were about to go up and he was called by "Passiveaggro" in the big blind with {k-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}. The {q-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{9-Hearts} board failed to connect either player and ace-high was good.

The pot between "ivan limeira" and Jorge "jorginho88" Abreu was double the size as the former three-bet jammed the big blind with {9-Spades}{9-Hearts} and was called by {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}. The {j-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} flop all but sealed the outcome of the hand and things were made official on the {6-Hearts} turn to make the {3-Diamonds} river a formality.

Second Break With 32 Remaining

Level 28 : 35,000/70,000, 8,750 ante

"Kungfumonk" has reclaimed the chip lead on the second break of the day when his hefty bet of 1,922,000 on the {10-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{8-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} against fellow big stack "carlos levis" was called. He tabled the {j-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for the nuts and won a pot of more than 6 million chips.

"Katz0r" had to settle for 35th place and "guitey" finished one spot better but ran out of chips with {a-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} against the {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} of "copag holdem". A board of {10-Spades}{5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{j-Clubs} immediately paired up his opponent.

"necgaidziai" suffered a major setback when he raised and called the three-bet shove of "skibi9" with {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs} only to get shown the {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}. The 4.5 million pot went to "skibi9" on a {5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds} board.

"necgaidziai" recovered some chips by knocking out "aDrENalin710" as his {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs} hot a flush on the {4-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{3-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{5-Clubs} river while "aDrENalin710" came up short with the {k-Spades}{k-Clubs},

As 32 players remain, the players are on their second 5-minute break of the day.

Three Double Ups; One Bustout

Level 28 : 35,000/70,000, 8,750 ante

Simon "C. Darwin2" Mattsson kept his hopes of a SCOOP title alive when he held up with {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} against the {a-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} of guitey on a board of {k-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}.

"guitey then dropped further back when he clashed with "ivan limeira" in a preflop all-in. The {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} were no good versus {a-Spades}{k-Spades} on the {k-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{10-Hearts} board.

"Freshmannn" got back on track when he was at risk preflop holding the {a-Hearts}{a-Spades} and "lopan83" attempted the knockout with {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}, which was not successful on the {8-Spades}{5-Spades}{4-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{a-Clubs} board.

Last but not least, "joshuah333" pushed with the {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts} and he was called by "pudelpower" with {k-Spades}{k-Hearts} in the big blind. The board came {k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{10-Spades}{7-Clubs}{2-Clubs}.

"Mikensonas" and "Carlos levis" Score Knockouts

Level 28 : 35,000/70,000, 8,750 ante

The field has been reduced to the final 36 hopefuls in the matter of 90 minutes and the new chip leader is "Carlos levis".

Another big stack belongs to "Mikensonas" who raised and called a three-bet shove by "Nextlevelftp" for 1.5 million with {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}. He only had to fear an ace versus {a-Clubs}{9-Spades} and the {8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{4-Spades} board brought no upset.

"Carlos levis" then claimed the chips and bounty of "****RCKR****" as {k-Spades}{8-Hearts} in the big blind was good enough versus a short stack push from the cutoff {q-Diamonds}{j-Spades}.

While "Carlos levis" added even more chips to his stack without showdown, it was "Xungazz" that claimed a bounty by sending "Fepoker20" out with {k-Hearts}{7-Spades} versus {7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} in a battle of the blinds. Both hit a seven on the {q-Hearts}{10-Spades}{9-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} board and the kicker played.

Down to Five Tables

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 7,500 ante

In the previous level still, "AmeNeYO" took on "11plus11112" with {q-Spades}{q-Hearts} versus {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} and a board of {9-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{9-Spades} board provided no help.

Manuel "manuverd0n" Bardon eventually lost the remainder of his stack despite getting it in ahead with {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}. The {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades} of "copag holdem" flopped best on the {10-Clubs}{3-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{a-Clubs} board.

After the blinds had gone up, another three players exited very quickly.

"Schauzeit" was first to go with {2-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} against the {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} of Rob "Batoelrob" Hollink, who nailed the turn of a {a-Spades}{6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} board.

Fellow former EPT Main Event champions Robin "robinho" Ylitalo didn't fare as well as Hollink as he was eliminated, and "Clabbenyman" also departed to reduce the field to the final five tables.

Bustouts and Double Ups as Mattsson Rises

Level 26 : 25,000/50,000, 6,000 ante

As the field rapidly shrinks, the next casualty was "mrAndreeew" on a flip with {a-Clubs}{k-Spades} against the {6-Spades}{6-Clubs} of "AmeNeYO". No help appeared on a {10-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} runout.

Bjuran got it in with {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs} against "Lassiole", who tabled {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}. A board of {7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} spelled the end for "Bjuran".

Simon "C. Darwin2" Mattsson was left on a short stack and raised all but the last 5,000 from under the gun. Manuel "manuverd0n" Bardon jammed the big blind with {k-Clubs}{4-Spades} and the {5-Hearts}{5-Hearts} of Mattsson held on a {q-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{10-Clubs} board.

Bardon jammed one hand later blind-on-blind with the {q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} and Mattsson called with {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}. Both hit a pair on the {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{9-Spades} flop, the {7-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} on turn and river secured consecutive double ups for the Swedish online legend.

Mattsson then lost some chips when he doubled "ivan limeira".
