"hotmark777" Gets a Double

Level 18 : 15,000/30,000, 3,750 ante
"hotmark777"
"hotmark777"

Action folded around to "hotmark777" in the cutoff, who raised to 66,000 and received a call from "calculer_," who defended their big blind. The flop came {j-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and "calculer_" checked. "hotmark777" made a continuation-bet of 56,600 and "calculer_" called.

The turn was {5-Diamonds} and "calculer_" checked again. "hotmark777" fired a second barrel of 151,000 and "calculer_" stuck around once more, bringing the river {2-Hearts}. "calculer_" checked a third time and "hotmark777" emptied the clip, shoving for their last 465,000. "calculer_" thought long enough to activate their time bank and wound up making the call.

"hotmark777" showed {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds} and earned the double with their top pair, besting the {k-Clubs}{j-Spades} of "calculer_" who found their second pair no good and lost the pot as a result.

Kurganov Ousted by Greenwood

Level 18 : 15,000/30,000, 3,750 ante
Igor Kurganov
Igor Kurganov

Igor "lechuckpoker" Kurganov was in the hijack and raised to 66,000. Sam "Str8$$$Homey" Greenwood defended his big blind and action went heads up to a flop of {6-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}. Greenwood checked to Kurganov, who made a continuation-bet of 45,000. Greenwood called.

The turn came {9-Spades} and Greenwood checked again. Kurganov continued, betting 135,000 and Greenwood called once more.

With over a half-million in the pot, the river fell {a-Spades}. Greenwood checked a third time and Kurganov shoved for his last 231,000. Greenwood made the call.

Igor "lechuckpoker" Kurganov: {q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Sam "Str8$$$Homey" Greenwood: {j-Diamonds}{10-Spades}

Kurganov had picked up two pair on the turn and fired three barrels to get his stack in, only to have run it into Greenwood's turned nuts. He was eliminated from the tournament as a result, and the pot was sent Greenwood's way to bring him over 1.4 million with 56 remaining in the tournament.

The Final 20-Minute Level of the Tournament

Level 18 : 15,000/30,000, 3,750 ante

Level 18 brings the final 20-minute level of the tournament. Beginning next level, the length of blinds will escalate up to 30 minutes. Here's a look at some of the players to have recently been eliminated as 57 players now remain.

Level: 18

Blinds: 15,000/30,000

Ante: 3,750

Holz, Addamo, and Ruijs All Depart

Level 17 : 12,500/25,000, 3,250 ante
Fedor Holz
Fedor Holz

Hand #1: Action folded around to "Anjeyyy" in the hijack, who opened to 50,000. Michael "Imluckbox" Addamo three-bet to 137,500 on the button and then Fedor "CrownUpGuy" Holz cold four-bet all in for 251,000 in the big blind.

"Anjeyyy" came all in over the top for Addamo's effective stack of 680,000, and Addamo called for the three-way all in to unfold.

Fedor "CrownUpGuy" Holz: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
Michael "Imluckbox" Addamo: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}
"Anjeyyy": {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}

"Anjeyyy" became the benefactor of a ten-high runout of {3-Spades}{4-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{10-Hearts}, fading the wheel draw that both Addamo and Holz flopped as the two wound up eliminated from the tournament.

Hand #2: Scott "Aggro Santos" Margereson was in the hijack and opened to 55,000. Joris "BillLewinsky" Ruijs three-bet shoved for 530,000 in the small blind and Margereson called upon action making its way back to him.

Scott "Aggro Santos" Margereson: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}
Joris "BillLewinsky" Ruijs: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}

Ruijs found himself in a cooler situation and was in need of help as the flop came {j-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{3-Spades}. The turn {2-Diamonds} gave him a chance at a chop, but the river {k-Clubs} instead brought him a pair of kings that remained second best to Mergereson's aces.

Kanit's Bid Comes To an End

Level 17 : 12,500/25,000, 3,250 ante
Mustapha Kanit
Mustapha Kanit

2020 SCOOP Event 24-H Champion Mustapha "lasagnaaammm" Kanit jammed for 187,000 in early position and action folded around to Mike "SirWatts" Watson, who was in the big blind and called.

Mustapha "lasagnaaammm" Kanit: {a-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Mike "SirWatts" Watson: {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}

Kanit found himself having three direct outs and the flop {7-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{k-Clubs} took that number up to four despite giving Watson a pair of jacks. The turn {10-Hearts} then turned those four Broadway outs into chop outs, leaving his pair of tens in need of finding a third one to stay alive. It did not come on the river {3-Spades} and Kanit was eliminated from the tournament.
