"ImRichAreU?" was the first player to jump ahead of Day 1 chip leader "gnetaren" when he scooped a pot against Pavel "silentm0de" Plesuv. Michael "SmallKindB" Sklenicka then doubled through Sven "SvenCalls" McDermott to leave the latter short-ish before "ZoMbiE2808" eliminated "TsutsumiJr7" with quads to grab the chip lead. McDermott couldn't recover and neither could Plesuv. By the time the second break of the day rolled around, the trio of Dimitar "KuuL" Danchev, Novak, and Sean "MonkeyBudg" Prendiville could be found at the top of the counts.
Just before the break, "ImRichAreU?" found aces to call the shoves of "DeLaBijen" who held ace-six and Danched who had pocket jacks. This propelled him to over the 20 million mark while the blinds where still 60,000/120,000. "gnetaren" bustted to "Freakstah", "ZoMbiE2808" fell to "PSMozak", and Novak then eliminated Prendiville and "thewu249" in one single hand with more players going down to get the field down to the final 27 players.
It would only take 50 minutes before eight more players busted. And approximately the same amount of time for the second table to not be needed any more. It would be Danchev who would bubble the final table after being near the top of the counts for quite a while. It seemed like he couldn't win any hands any more, doubling others up then three-bet shoving with ace-king. "ImRichAreU?" called with pocket jacks and flopped a set. Danchev had some hope as he picked up a straight draw but bricked the turn and river.
Whittet and "Kebrashmebra" went into the final table as the top two chip leaders with more than 100 big blinds and "ImRichAreU?" in third place with 88 big blinds. But it was Whittet who bullied the others around. In three consecutive clashes with "ImRichAreU?" he drew the long straw and built up a commanding chip lead with over 40% of all the chips in play. "ImRichAreU?" had bled a lot of chips and got his last 16 big blinds in with ace-jack. "Kebrashmebra" held -king-queen and flopped trips to bust them.
"moneyymakerr" busted in 8th place when he shoved with pocket tens, he was called by "dfsha" with the shorter stack who held queens and "oNinguém" with the bigger stack with jacks. No help for "moneyymakerr" as they left the stage while "dfsha" tripled up. But they couldn't keep hold of those chips when they called Whittet's four-bet with pocket tens. Whittet held king-ten and rivered the higher pair to send them packing. Novak was next to go when he ran his king-nine into the ace-deuce of Whittet. The deuce on the flop was more than enough to end his tournament life.
"Deividas K" then fell in fourth place when his ace-ten couldn't beat the queens of Costa. The chips then went back and forth with a clear chip lead for "Kebrashmebra" with almost 75 big blinds during the break while the others had around 50 big blinds. With such a deep-stacked final table, it made sense that it could take a while before someone would bust. In actual fact, it took almost an hour where more and more chips went to "Kebrashmebra". Whittet ended up doubling through Costa with ace-king while the latter held king-jack. Whittet turned a flush to leave Costa behind with less than two big blinds.
Costa quadrupled first but then they and "oNinguém" both busted to "Kebrashmebra". His pocket treys and the ace-queen of "oNinguém" couldn't beat the queen-jack of "Kebrashmebra" who flopped a pair of jacks on the five-deuce-jack-seven-four board. Heads-up play lasted twenty minutes where "Kebrashmebra" kept the pressure on Whittet who ended up calling a shove for this tournament life with queen-jack. He was ahead against the jack-ten of "Kebrashmebra" but the ten on the flop meant the end of this tournament.
