The flagship event of the 2020 PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) enters the second day and the registration will close 5 minutes prior to the restart of SCOOP-74-H: $10,300 NLHE [8-Max, Main Event] at 1.05 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. So far, a field of 561 entries has emerged to create a prize pool of $5,610,000, but some late entries are expected to boost the attendance further.

Leading the 199 Day 1 survivors into Day 2 is ten-time SCOOP champion Calvin "cal42688" Anderson with 2,732,146 and there is already quite a gap to second-placed "AverageGreg" who has 1,963,234 at his disposal. Other notables in the top 10 overnight include Tomi "elmerixx" Brouk (1,788,170), Pavel "MountainRo$e" Veksler (1,767,303), Jack "Swaggersorus" Sinclair (1,663,720), Samuel "€urop€an" Vousden (1,654,576), and Artem "veeea" Vezhenkov (1,502,258).

Four former SCOOP Main Event champions bagged up their virtual chips the previous day, which includes Sami "Lrslzk" Kelopuro (769,206), Talal "raidalot" Shakerchi (524,117), Mustapha "lasagnaaammm" Kanit (190,895) and defending champion Gianluca "Tankanza" Speranza (220,675). Charlie "Epiphany77" Carrel was eliminated and then earned his third SCOOP title in SCOOP 70-H: $530 NLHE [PKO], he may however still prior to the start of Day 2.

The PokerStars ambassadors Ben "Spraggy" Spragg (501,088) and Lex "L. Veldhuis" Veldhuis (415,834) are in the middle of the pack and plenty of other big names such as Daniel "Oxota" Dvoress (1,418,696), Julien "KroolhearT-1803" Martini (1,273,739), Fedor "CrownUpGuy" Holz (1,176,195), Justin "ZeeJustin" Bonomo (947,526), Mikita "fish2013" Badziakouski (883,714), and Niklas "Lena900" Astedt (850,547) will all return to their seats, too.

Action recommences at 1.05 p.m. EST with level 16 and blinds of 6,000/12,000 and a running ante of 1,500. All levels last 30 minutes each and the money bubble will burst today, the action is scheduled to conclude once the field is whittled down to the last 40 players on five eight-handed tables.
