Adams Doubles Up in Huge Preflop Confrontation

Level 22 : Blinds 7,000/14,000, 1,750 ante
Timothy Adams
Timothy Adams

Timothy "Tim0thee" Adams open-raised to 30,800 from the cutoff before "jonespkr" promptly shoved 546,533 chips in the middle from the small blind. This amount covered Adams by around 20,000 chips, but that did deter the seasoned pro from making the call.

Timothy "Tim0thee" Adams: AK
"jonespkr": AJ

While the board brought a wheel draw for both players in way of 35104, the river 5 paired the board and thus Adams secured a big double-up, while "jonespkr" was left with less than two big blinds, which he would lose one hand later.

Vasylchenko Busts One as Field Closes in on the Money

Level 22 : Blinds 7,000/14,000, 1,750 ante

Oleg "Fukuruku" Vasylchenko opened to 32,200 from the cutoff and "MagoDelBaralho" shoved their final 172,368 chips from the button. The action folded back to Vasylchenko, who quickly made the call.

"MagoDelBaralho": AJ
Oleg "Fukuruku" Vasylchenko: 1010

The 287Q runout brought a flush draw for "MagoDelBaralho", but the Q river meant that Vasylchenko's pair remained best.

The Main Event is now less than 100 players away from reaching the money.

Schneiders Secures a Double

Level 21 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 1,500 ante
Felix Schneiders
Felix Schneiders

Felix "xflixx" Schneiders was down to 143,344 chips and went all-in from under the gun. The action folded to "andresds" on the button, who three-bet all-in himself for 360,955. The blinds folded and Schneiders was at risk to exit in the prebubble phase of the tournament.

Felix "xflixx" Schneiders: 77
"andresds": AQ

No cards with letter on them appeared on the 59653 board, and clubs remained absent as well. Schneiders doubled up as his hopes of a deep Main Event run continue to be alive.

Blaschke Barely Escapes

Level 21 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 1,500 ante

Manuel "young_diam18" Blaschke opened the action with a raise to 26,000 from early position. Markus "makeboifin" Leikkonen was in the big blind and he made a three-bet to 66,000 once the action folded to him. Blaschke put in the extra chips as well, and the pair saw a flop.

On 435, Leikkonen bet 75,000 and Blaschke responded by shoving all in for 271,324. Leikkonen instantly called and Blaschke was in dire shape.

Manuel "young_diam18" Blaschke: Q5
Markus "makeboifin" Leikkonen: A2

Leikkonen had flopped a wheel, leaving Blasche to hit either a runner-runner full house or a straight on the board for a chop. The 6 turn brought an opportunity for the latter, and the 7 river did indeed chop the pot between the two players.

A streak of luck for Blaschke, who's fortune allowed him to continue playing in the Main Event.

"Look55": KQ
Peter "twirlpro" Turmezy: AK

No ladies were present on the 76728 board, and Turmezy eliminated "Look55", now playing over one million in total chips.
