Two Strebkov Wins in As Many Days Takes the Russian to Nine SCOOP Victories

Denis Strebkov
Denis Strebkov

Denis "aDrENalin710" Strebkov won his second 2025 SCOOP title in as many days, taking the talented mixed game specialist to nine career SCOOP wins. A couple of days ago, Strebkov took down SCOOP 48-H: $530 H.O.R.S.E. 6-Max for $10,661. Yesterday, he came out on top in SCOOP 57-L: $55 FL 2-7 Triple Draw 6-Max for another $3,679.

Strebkob now has nine outright SCOOP victories, tying him with fellow grinders Niklas "Lena900" Astedt and Jerry "Perrymejsen" Odeen. There are plenty of events remaining on the SCOOP schedule, so don't discount Strebkov adding to his already impressive haul.

Lady Luck Shines on Hand En Route To Reaching Day 2 of the $1K Super Tuesday

Fintan Hand
Fintan Hand

Day 1 of SCOOP 56-H: $1,050 NLHE Super Tuesday took place on May 20, and saw its 378 field whittled to a more manageable 47. Team PokerStars' Fintan "easywithaces" Hand is one of the players returning for Day 2, doing so with 1,635,422 chips, enough for fifth place at the restart.

No matter how well they play, Lady Luck plays a significant role a poker player's success. Had one key hand played out slightly differently, Hand would have been watching the rest of this event from the sidelines.

During the 3,000/6,000 level, approximately 4.5 hours into the action, Hand three-bet all-in for 95,250 with pocket tens from the small blind after "Benmiller500" had min-raised in the cutoff and "Nacho124441" called on the button. The initial raiser folded, but "Nacho124441" called with queen-jack.

A jack on the turn looked set to send Hand to the rail, but a nine on the river improved Hand to a winning straight, doubling his stack, and setting the Irishman on his way for another deep SCOOP run.

Play resumes at 5:30 p.m. BST on May 21, with each of the 47 returning players guaranteed $2,251. However, $69,099 awaits the eventual champion. Will Hand be that winner?

Marle Spragg Drills a One-Outer in the $215 NLHE Bounty Builder

Marle Spragg
Marle Spragg

You know how we wrote about Fintan "easywithaces" Hand getting lucky when he doubled up in the $1,050 Super Tuesday? Well, Marle "MarlzTV" Spragg got even luckier in SCOOP 49-M: $215 NLHE 6-Max PKO Bounty Builder HR, drilling a one-outer to stay in the tournament.

Spragg ultimately found herself all-in with a set of kings against a set of aces on a draw-heavy ace-high board. Spragg looked resigned to busting and potentially having to re-enter, but the deck came to the rescue, improving her to quads on the river, and doubling her stack.

It appears that hand used up all of Spragg's run-good because she crashed out in 274th place with 251 places paid. She did, however, pick up $200 in bounties before her tournament ended. Onto the next one.

2025 SCOOP
2025 SCOOP

May 20 sees another 19 SCOOP events shuffle up and deal, and they are a real mixture of formats and variants.

The day begins with a trio of No-Limit Hold'em 8-Max Deep Stack tournaments to get the juices flowing. Later in the day, players can lock horns and butt heads in six-handed Pot-Limit Omaha mystery bounty events, PKO tournaments, and a trio of Razz events.

Those new tournaments run alongside Day 2 of the $11, $109, and $1,050 Super Tuesday events, making for another extremely busy day at PokerStars' virtual felt.

Team Spraggy Extends SCOOP League Lead; Team tonkaaaa Makes Up Ground

SCOOP League
SCOOP League

Benjamin "Spraggy" Spragg's team added another 490 points to their already impressive tally yesterday, extending their lead over Sebastian Huber's Team peace&loove. Fintan Hand's Team easywithaces edged a little closer to second place after Ole "wiowizo" Schemion took down the high-stakes 2-7 Triple Draw event. Hand's team could earn a bagful of points on May 21 thanks to Hand being deep into the $1K Super Tuesday.

Despite some heroics on the virtual felt, Team Tonkaaaa continues to lag behind. However, they are now within 230 points of Team Kelvin_FP:AR.

SCOOP Wednesday Recap: 13 First-Time Winners & Bruschi Denies Tonkaaaa in Razz Showdown

Renan Bruschi
Renan Bruschi

The 2025 Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) on PokerStars continues to deliver the virtual felt action and breakout moments, as sixteen more champions etched their names into the series history books on Wednesday.

Of those, thirteen players captured their first-ever SCOOP titles, but there was still room for familiar faces to make headlines.

One of those was Bulgaria’s Ognyan "cocojamb0" Dimov, who claimed his third career SCOOP victory in SCOOP 61-H: $320 PLO Mystery Bounty. The 2015 EPT Deauville Main Event champion added $22,687* to his bankroll with a dominant performance.

Elsewhere, Renan "Internett93o" Bruschi showed why he's a SCOOP staple. The Team Kelvin_FP:AR pro picked up his fourth SCOOP title by taking down SCOOP 63-H: $1,050 Razz, banking $18,823 and denying SCOOP captain Parker "tonkaaaa" Talbot in a heads-up duel.

There was also a return to glory for "Stro0onG", who claimed a second SCOOP title in SCOOP 65-M: $55 NLHE Mystery Bounty, earning $11,355 for the win.

And congratulations are in order for PokerNews alumni Jason "WacKyJaxon" Glatzer, who grabbed his first SCOOP title in SCOOP 56-L: $11 NLHE Micro Super Tuesday, topping a massive field of 7,658 for a $10,592 score.

Whats On the Cards Today? Thursday SCOOP Preview

SCOOP
SCOOP

It’s a busy one on PokerStars today as 22 SCOOP events will play down to a winner. There’s plenty of silverware up for grabs across a mix of formats and stakes. On top of that, the ever-popular Thursday Thrill kicks off its SCOOP edition tonight with three buy-in levels, including a spicy $10K High Roller.

Meanwhile, a couple of big two-day events — SCOOP 62 and SCOOP 64 — return to action this evening. We’ll be checking in on who’s still in the hunt for those titles later today, with a few SCOOP League draftees still in the mix and eyeing valuable leaderboard points.

The headliner has to be SCOOP-69, which gets going at 17:30 BST. There’s the $109 Mini, the $1,050 standard version, and the $10,300 High Roller, all running as Progressive Knockouts and all packed with value. These are two-day events, so anyone still bagging chips tonight will be back tomorrow to battle for six-figure prizes and those sweet, sweet bounties.

If Hold’em’s not your thing, don’t worry there’s plenty of variety on today's schedule. SCOOP-68 brings Limit Hold’em back into the spotlight with three 6-Max tourneys starting at 16:30 BST. And PLO8 fans get their turn at 18:30, with the $5.50, $55, and $530 versions of SCOOP-70 on the schedule.

Later in the evening, things get faster. SCOOP-71 is a Turbo 6-Max at 20:05, followed by SCOOP-72, a Freezeout Turbo PKO at 21:30. If you’ve still got some energy left by 22:30, the SCOOP-73 Mystery Bounty Supersonic is a fun one.

There’s a little bit of everything today, slow-structured deep runs, rapid-fire turbos, and everything in between. Whether you’re taking a shot at your first SCOOP title or jumping into the high-stakes streets, Wednesday has you covered.

We’ll have more later on who’s closing in on those final tables and which SCOOP League teams might be adding some silverware to the trophy cabinet.
