Marle Spragg Drills a One-Outer in the $215 NLHE Bounty Builder

Marle Spragg
Marle Spragg

You know how we wrote about Fintan "easywithaces" Hand getting lucky when he doubled up in the $1,050 Super Tuesday? Well, Marle "MarlzTV" Spragg got even luckier in SCOOP 49-M: $215 NLHE 6-Max PKO Bounty Builder HR, drilling a one-outer to stay in the tournament.

Spragg ultimately found herself all-in with a set of kings against a set of aces on a draw-heavy ace-high board. Spragg looked resigned to busting and potentially having to re-enter, but the deck came to the rescue, improving her to quads on the river, and doubling her stack.

It appears that hand used up all of Spragg's run-good because she crashed out in 274th place with 251 places paid. She did, however, pick up $200 in bounties before her tournament ended. Onto the next one.

Lady Luck Shines on Hand En Route To Reaching Day 2 of the $1K Super Tuesday

Fintan Hand
Fintan Hand

Day 1 of SCOOP 56-H: $1,050 NLHE Super Tuesday took place on May 20, and saw its 378 field whittled to a more manageable 47. Team PokerStars' Fintan "easywithaces" Hand is one of the players returning for Day 2, doing so with 1,635,422 chips, enough for fifth place at the restart.

No matter how well they play, Lady Luck plays a significant role a poker player's success. Had one key hand played out slightly differently, Hand would have been watching the rest of this event from the sidelines.

During the 3,000/6,000 level, approximately 4.5 hours into the action, Hand three-bet all-in for 95,250 with pocket tens from the small blind after "Benmiller500" had min-raised in the cutoff and "Nacho124441" called on the button. The initial raiser folded, but "Nacho124441" called with queen-jack.

A jack on the turn looked set to send Hand to the rail, but a nine on the river improved Hand to a winning straight, doubling his stack, and setting the Irishman on his way for another deep SCOOP run.

Play resumes at 5:30 p.m. BST on May 21, with each of the 47 returning players guaranteed $2,251. However, $69,099 awaits the eventual champion. Will Hand be that winner?

Spraggy's SCOOP Top Tip #5: Make a Playlist

Ben Spragg 'Spraggy'
Ben Spragg 'Spraggy'

Here comes another Spraggy nugget of wisdom for SCOOP 2025.

“You need a Final Table soundtrack, even if you’re out by 87th place,” Spraggy says.

“Film scores, power ballads, ironic bangers—if you’re going down, go down to Hans Zimmer. Nothing beats getting rivered while The Dark Knight theme blares in the background. Bonus points if you pretend you’re in a montage.”

As always, solid advice to take with you to the virtual felt.
