Teun Mulder Leads $5,200 SCOOP Main Event

Teun Mulder
Teun Mulder

The biggest event of the Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) calendar has begun, and it didn’t disappoint.

SCOOP 82-H: $5,200 NLHE High Main Event — the crown jewel of the series — kicked off with a $3 guarantee, massive 250,000 chip starting stacks, and a slow, 30-minute level structure designed for deep play. After 15 levels of action, 580 total entries were recorded, and 206 players made it through to Day 2.

Among the survivors, Teun "tinnoemulder" Mulder leads the pack with a towering stack of 3,354,512. The Dutch high-stakes crusher — already a two-time SCOOP champion — finds himself in prime position to chase yet another major online title.

The top 10 chip counts are littered with talent. Antoine "A. Saout" Saout, who boasts both live and online credentials, sits in third. Meanwhile, Marius "DEX888" Gierse and Andre "PTFisherman23" Marques — the latter a former WCOOP Main Event winner — also bagged big.

Ambassadors in Action

Rafael Moraes
Rafael Moraes

PokerStars’ ambassadors were out in full force. Fintan "easywithaces" Hand (34th – 1,257,891) and Parker "tonkaaaa" Talbot (93rd – 579,342) both found bags, while Rafael "GM_VALTER" Moraes survived his second bullet to advance in 107th with 521,205.

Not everyone made it through: Lauriê "LaliTournier" Tournier and Ben "Spraggy" Spragg were among those who hit the rail during Day 1. But with reentries available and registration still open, they’ll have another shot on Day 2.

What’s Next

Day 2 kicks off at 4:30 p.m. UTC and will play down to just 40 players. Late entrants will receive 250,000 chips (25 big blinds), but they’ll need to hit the ground running to catch the early leaders. Late registration remains open for another 8 hours.

From there, all eyes will turn to May 28, when the final table returns to battle for one of the most prestigious titles in online poker, the SCOOP Main Event High.

Shakerchi Bags Big on Final Bullet in SCOOP $1K Main

Talal Shakerchi
Talal Shakerchi

It took all four bullets, but in the end, Talal "raidalot" Shakerchi made it count.

The British businessman and high-stakes tournament fixture fired the maximum number of reentries allowed in the SCOOP 82-M: $1,050 NLHE Main Event, and his persistence paid off. Shakerchi bagged 1,207,185 chips — good for second place on the leaderboard and enters Day 2 in strong contention for the lion’s share of a massive prize pool.

He’s chasing Team PokerBR, who surged into the lead during the closing levels of Day 1, finishing with 1,343,303 to top a field that attracted 2,967 entries. Just 956 players remain in contention for this mid-stakes crown, with Day 2 set to play down to 80 before the elite final table reconvenes on May 28.

Few players are running hotter than Dominykas "Mikensonas" Mikolaitis, who finished sixth in Day 1 of the $1,050 Main with 991,714 chips, alongside bagging a top-ten stack in the $5,200 High Main Event.

Mixed Results for Team PokerStars

Several PokerStars ambassadors were in the mix during Day 1, but the results were a mixed bag.

Marle “MarlzTV” Spragg leads the team with 331,288 chips (366th), followed by Parker “tonkaaaa” Talbot (477th – 270,373) and Rafael “GM_VALTER” Moraes (709th – 151,204).

Lauriê “LaliTournier” Tournier (936th – 63,925) and Ben “Spraggy” Spragg (939th – 63,228) scraped through to Day 2 with sub-20BB stacks, while Fintan “easywithaces” Hand and Sebastien “peace&loove” Huber busted before the bags came out.

What’s Next

Day 2 resumes at 4:30 p.m. UTC, with late registration open until 5:05 p.m. UTC. Any new entries will receive a 100,000-chip starting stack.

The field will play down to 80 players by the end of Day 2, setting the stage for the final table on May 28, where one player will walk away with a SCOOP title and a life-changing payday.

"gragik" Leads Final 8 in SCOOP $5,200 PLO Main Event; $192K Up Top

Mike Watson
Mike Watson

The final table bubble has burst in the SCOOP 85-H: $5,200 PLO [6-Max, Main Event], and just eight players remain in the hunt for the title and a hefty $192,074.75 first-place prize.

"gragik" enters the final day as the chip leader with 5,025,902, well clear of Andras "probirs" Nemeth (3,856,480) and the rest of the field. With just seven places paid in the 61-entry, high-stakes showdown, one player will walk away with nothing and the others will battle for their share of a $500K prize pool.

Among those still in the mix are "FAL1st", and "aufzuckerter" and EPT Main Event winners Mike "SirWatts" Watson and Pedro "pm_marke" Marques.

Kelvin Kerber Captures Ninth SCOOP Title in $1K Sunday Cooldown Turbo

Kelvin Kerber
Kelvin Kerber

SCOOP League captain Kelvin "Kelvin_FP:AR" Kerber made headlines once again by capturing his ninth career SCOOP title. The Brazilian crusher came out on top in SCOOP 86-H: $1,050 NLHE [Turbo, Progressive KO, Sunday Cooldown SE], $200K Gtd, pocketing a total of $49,155, including $30,781 in bounty prizes.

The turbo-structured high roller drew 191 entries and featured a $200,000 prize pool split between bounties and regular payouts.

Kerber bested "tarantaleo" heads-up to clinch the title — his first of the 2025 SCOOP and his eighth since 2022. His maiden SCOOP victory came a decade ago in 2015, and he's now well within reach of double-digit titles.

Kerber’s SCOOP resume is as diverse as it is decorated. His breakthrough came in 2015, when he outlasted a massive field of 8,634 entries in the $7.50+R NLHE event for his maiden title. Since then, he’s showcased remarkable versatility, winning in a wide range of formats including Stud, FLHE, PLO8, and high-stakes PKO events. Among his most impressive feats is the $615K payday from the $5,200 Titans event in 2024.

Whether battling through small-field mixed games or high-roller shootouts, Kerber has proved repeatedly that he’s one of SCOOP’s most complete and consistent performers.
