Wertsler Over Morrison in Blind-Versus-Blind Encounter

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

Action folded to James Morrison in the small blind and he shoved for more than 200,000 with the {K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}. Tomasz Werstler looked down at the {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} in the big blind. Call.

Werstler hit an ace on the turn, leaving Morrison drawing dead. Morrison exits in 16th place for $511.

Bracken Ships Three-Way All-in; Brown Eliminated

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 2,000 ante

We caught up with some major action on Table 3 and found Kevin Brown and Darrin Bracken both all-in preflop. Tyler Hutchinson was also involved and had both covered.

Bracken: {J-Hearts}{J-Clubs}
Brown: {4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}
Hutchinson: {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}

The dealer slowly rolled out a {3-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{5-Spades}{9-Hearts} board and Bracken scooped a massive pot. Brown began his trek to the cage in 17th place.

Banai Busts Illig With Bold Call

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 2,000 ante

With the flop showing {Q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{4-Hearts}, Siavash Banai bet 55,000 and Greg Illig moved all in for 198,000. Banai sat back in his seat and pondered a decision for more than a minute. He eventually opted to call with just second pair — and was ahead.

Banai: {K-Spades}{9-Spades}
Illig: {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts}

Banai needed to fade a flush draw and managed to do just that as the {Q-Clubs} and {6-Spades} completed the board. Illig exited in 20th place.

Nablo No More

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 2,000 ante
Jason Nablo
Jason Nablo

Jason Nablo was the first elimination after the dinner break. Nablo was all in with the {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} against the {J-Spades}{J-Hearts} of Michael Sweeney, and Sweeney hit a set on the flop and held up to send Nablo to the rail.

Smith Adds Another Casualty

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 1,000 ante

Mandy Smith opened, Erik Dzikowski shoved for a little over 100,000 and Smith called. She was in dominating position with the {A-Clubs}{J-Spades} against Dzikowski's {A-Spades}{5-Spades}, and the uneventful {8-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{4-Spades}{10-Clubs}{3-Hearts} board sent Dzikowski to the rail in 27th place.
