Skies Clear for Cloud

Level 5 : 150/300, 25 ante

Doug Cloud, who won this same event in the Summer Slam series, moved all in for 10,475 on a board of {6-Hearts}{2-Spades}{9-Hearts}{4-Clubs}. He was called by a player holding the {A-Hearts}{9-Spades}, and Cloud tabled the {5-Spades}{5-Clubs}. He needed help to survive, and he got just that when the {3-Hearts} peeled off on the river to give him a straight.

Demmerley Sniffs Out the Bluff

Level 3 : 75/150, 0 ante

Art Demmerley raised to 400 from the button and both players in the blinds called to see a {9-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{5-Spades} flop. Action checked to Demmerley and he fired 600. Both players called, bringing the {8-Spades} on the turn. All three checked to see the {A-Spades} land on the river and the player in the big blind fired out a bet of 1,500. Only Demmerley called and the big blind mucked. Demmerley scooped the pot without having to show his hand.

Leonardi Aiming Higher

Level 2 : 50/100, 0 ante

Carol Leonardi was one of the 38 players who advanced yesterday, bagging the third biggest stack from the first flight (96,200). However, Leonardi is back this morning to give it another go. If Leonardi were to bag more than 96,200 in this flight she would forced to forfeit the chips she accumulated on Sunday.

We'll catch up with Leonardi later to find out her strategy today.
