Raimondi Shows a Bluff

Level 7 : 300/600, 75 ante

With a limper in front, Peter Raimondi raised to 2,200 from middle position and the limper called to see a flop of {7-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{5-Hearts}. Raimondi's opponent check-called a bet of 1,600 and the {6-Diamonds} hit the turn. It was checked to Raimondi again and he moved all in for effectively 13,000, having his opponent covered. The other player pondered his options for a minute before flicking his cards into the muck and Raimondi tabled his {Q-Clubs}{9-Hearts} for queen-high.

"I had a feeling," his opponent said. Raimondi is now at 35,000.

"Joe Takes Hoss to School"

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Yesterday, Hoss Colao put a bounty on his friend Joe Ciffa.

Ciffa just got his revenge today.

We heard a commotion at Table 4 and walked over to find Colao all in with the board reading {3-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{J-Spades}{10-Spades}. "I got coolered," Colao said as he stood in front of his {3-Spades}{3-Hearts}. Ciffa had {A-}{J-} for a bigger full house, and Colao made his way to the cashier to re-enter.

"Make sure you write 'Joe Takes Hoss to School,'" Ciffa told us.

A minute later Colao took a seat back at Table 4 but this time he was placed directly to Ciffa's left. "Say it ain't so!" said Ciffa as the table burst into laughter.

We have a good view of this table from our desk so we'll keep you updated throughout the day.

Colao Triples Back to Starting Stack

Level 5 : 150/300, 25 ante

With the flop showing {K-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades}, Joe Ciffa led out for 1,200 and Al Makley min-raised to 2,400. Hoss Colao then moved all in for around 5,000 and both players called.

The {K-Clubs} hit the turn and Ciffa checked to Makley who moved all in for about 5,500. Ciffa thought it over for a moment before tossing his hand.

Colao: {4-Clubs}{4-Hearts}
Makley: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}

Colao was ahead with his full house and the {7-Clubs} completed the board to push him back to a starting stack of 15,000.
