The Niagara Falls Poker Room at the Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino is buzzing this weekend as the $100,000 guaranteed 2017 Seneca Fall Poker Classic $300 No Limit Hold'em opening event drew big numbers in its first two flights Friday.

In fact, 185 entries have been recorded already, making the event a huge favorite to absolutely crush the $100,000 guarantee. The third starting flight will begin at 10 a.m. local time Saturday and a fourth and final goes off at 6 p.m. tonight.

Odds are the meat of the guarantee will be met by the end of this third flight and the fourth will be all gravy.

Any and all survivors will push through to Sunday's Day 2, where now some big money will await and a champion will be crowned.

The players in each flight will kick off the proceedings holding 20,000 in tournament chips. The levels are 30 minutes each and the plan is to play to the end of the 14th or when just 12 percent of the field remains, whichever comes first.

Registration and unlimited re-entry is open until the start of Level 9. Plus, even players who finish a flight with chips can get in another one. Those players will carry their best stack forward to Day 2 Sunday.

The Seneca Fall Poker Classic always brings out some of the best poker players from Western New York and beyond. As a result, the prize pool in this opening event should be big one.
