The second of six starting flights for the The 2017 Seneca Niagara Falls Summer Slam $125 No-Limit Hold'em Reentry event drew 75 entries inside the Niagara Falls Poker Room at the Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino Monday.

That makes 117 entries so far with four flights to come.

With 7:49 left in Level 13 they reached nine players remaining, representing 12 percent of the field, and play was halted.

Maurice Sessum built a lead as the night wore on and will bring a stack of 128,300 through to Thursday's Day 2. However, luck was on Steve Roberts' side throughout and he bagged almost as much, on 117,100. Plus, Keith Gray joins them in the six-figure stack club.

First flight leader John Abraham is still the leader in the clubhouse.

The third of six starting flights for the $125 No-Limit Hold'em Reentry event will go off at 10 a.m. local time Tuesday with three more set for the next two days. Keep it locked on PokerNews to follow all the action.

Rasmussen Relents, Play Halts

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

Paula Rasmussen finally relented, getting it in with an ace. After Carol Leonardi isolated on an ace-high flop with two sevens, she turned a set.

Rasmussen vowed to run better in another flight, although how could she possibly run worse?

Play ends with nine players left. A recap and chip counts will follow.

Classic Cooler All But Ends Play

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

Paula Rasmussen got it all in versus Keith Gray with kings versus aces.

Aces held and she was left with a few hundred in chips. Somehow, she picked up two aces the very next hand and octupled up.

Rasmussen has 5,000 in chips and they should be going in again any minute now.

River On The River

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Wyatt River ran {q-}{10-} into Keith Gray's {q-}{q-}.

River rivered a straight, but the same card gave Gray a flush. With that, they moved to one 10-handed table and with one more elimination they will halt play for the flight.

Kings Cracked

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Dave Grana and Steve Roberts were headed in different directions up and down the leaderboard when Grana got it in with kings versus Roberts' {a-}{9-}.

In fact, Roberts had one foot out the door until an ace appeared on the river. The double up left Grana with scraps and Roberts almost 100,000.

Crazy Calls

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Mike Flately is down to peanuts after Carol Leonardi picked off his bluff.

Flatley shoved the {k-}{10-} on a {j-}{3-}{X-} flop. Leonardi had the {a-}{3-} and called all in for 25,000. Threes held.

"I hate playing with women," Flatley said. "They always make these crazy calls"
