Malm Melting After Jones Double

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Anne Jones
Anne Jones

Anne Jones made it 40,000 and Michael Malm and Erik Christensen both called.

Jones led 55,000 on the {2-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Hearts} flop and Malm made it 150,000. Christensen folded and Jones made the call before checking the {7-Spades} turn.

Malm shoved in and Jones snap-called off her last 600,000 and change with the {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}. The set was enough to crack Malm's kings, but Jones rivered quads.

Malm just went from chip boss to the shortest stack in ten minutes as Level 22 comes to a close.

Malm Pots It Big

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Michael Malm made a big 400,000-chip bet into a similarly-sized 400,000-chip pot on the river of a {2-Spades}{2-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{10-Spades} board, heads up with Mark Bowersock.

Bowersock called and mucked when Malm showed the {6-Hearts}{6-Spades} boat.

With that pot, Malm moved into a dead heat with Erik Christensen for the lead seven-handed.

Hayden Glassman Eliminated in 8th Place ($6,599)

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Hayden Glassman
Hayden Glassman

Hayden Glassman shoved for 420,000 over an Erik Christensen 45,000-chip button raise.

Christensen made the big call with the {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}. Glassman had two tens and the {4-Spades}{j-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{9-Hearts} runout did him in.

Down to seven now with Christensen on top.

Scott Murawa

Scott Murawa open-shoved 250,000 with big slick and Erik Christensen woke up calling with two queens.

Muwara hit a king, but Christensen turned a king-high straight.

There are now eight with plans to play this level and the next before making a decision on whether to bag it up and come back tomorrow.

MacKinnon Coolered Tenth; Final Table Set

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
DJ MacKinnon
DJ MacKinnon

DJ MacKinnon just ran big slick into Michael Malm's kings for his last 135,000.

MacKinnon turned a diamond draw, but whiffed the river to say goodbye tenth. He was short on the bubble and played the short stack ninja all the way to the quazi-final table, laddering up large.

Now the real final table begins with nine remaining.

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Brian Patterson
Brian Patterson

Brian Patterson bluffed off heaps with king-high to Mark Bowersock and his middle pair.

Then he got it in for the last of his 250,000-chip stack with a pair and an open-ender on a nine-high flop heads up with Peter Beshay.

Beshay had jacks, held, sent Patterson home, and the rest of the remaining players to a final table of ten.

DePasquale Done, Christensen Extends

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Jack DePasquale
Jack DePasquale

Jack DePasquale shoved for 150,000 over a Guy Klass raise and Erik Christensen called. Klass called as well and they checked a {4-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{4-Spades} flop.

Christensen bet what looked like a little over 100,000 on the {6-Clubs} turn and Klass folded. Turned out Christensen had two queens and had flopped the full boat.

DePasquale had the old {5-Spades}{8-Spades} and a gutterball. He missed and there are 11 left.
