Lau Shoves the Flop

Lincoln Lau limped in from under the gun and a player in middle position made a large raise to 4,300. The action folded back to Lau who opted to see a flop of 7♣5♥2♦.

Lau started with a check and his opponent made a bet of 6,000. Lau check-raised all in for 27,200 and his opponent asked for a count before sending his cards to the muck.

On the next hand, Andressa Paes found herself all-in and at risk for around 13,000 with A♦K♥. She was up against Q♥J♥ but a king on the flop put Paes well out front in order to double up.

There was a raise to 1,600 in early position and Gustavo Bonani three-bet to 3,500 from the cutoff. The small blind splashed in a four-bet to 15,000 and the action folded back to Bonani who moved his last 19,400 chips into the middle. The small blind called and the cards were tabled.

The flop of 9♦8♠5♣ left Bonani in the lead with his pocket pair. The 7♦ and 2♣ runout changed nothing and Bonani earned himself a double up to stay alive.

Lukas Robinson raised to 2,000 from under the gun and Alberto Murilo three-bet to 6,200 on the button. Pedro Oliveira called from the small blind and Robinson got out of the way.

The flop came A♥10♦2♦ and Oliveira checked to Murilo who continued with a bet of 3,500. Oliveira check-raised to 7,200 and Murilo quickly called.

The 7♥ landed on the turn and Oliveira ripped all in for his last 12,100 chips. Murilo gave it some thought but decided to send his cards to the muck.

Three players headed to a flop of K♣J♠2♣ and the action checked around to the 5♠ on the turn. John Arne Riise was the first to take a stab at the pot with a bet of 3,000. Feliks Saakyan raised to 9,000 on the button which got the big blind to fold but Riise still called.

The 5♣ paired the board on the river and Riise led out with a bet of 16,000. Saakyan went into the tank for over a minute before flicking in a chip to call. Riise knuckled the table as he showed A♥10♥ for air while Saakyan held Q♥J♥ for two pair to win the pot.
