Villares is "The King of Basura"

Level 24 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Edzel Villares

On a heads-up turn of A545, Alex Chong checked from the big blind and Edzel Villares bet 43,000 in the cutoff. Chong used one time bank and check-raised to 100,000 for Villares to call.

After the A river, Chong bet 75,000 and Villares tank-called without using a time bank.

Chong tabled the 76 and Villares leaned over from the other side of the table.

"What is that?" he asked and was then told seven-high before he flipped over his 52.

"Five deuce, basura ... I am the king of basura," Villares declared. It is the Filipino word for trash.

Level 24 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Dylan Yip had already almost all of the chips in to the Q559 turn when he revealed the AJ in showdown versus Hyunsik Nam. The latter tabled his A8 and the Q brought groans from the table as the split pot was secured.

However, the pay jump was secured for Yip shortly after when Fernan Manansala busted from a different table to reduce the field to the last 36 contenders.
