On a heads-up turn of A♥5♥4♣5♣, Alex Chong checked from the big blind and Edzel Villares bet 43,000 in the cutoff. Chong used one time bank and check-raised to 100,000 for Villares to call.

After the A♦ river, Chong bet 75,000 and Villares tank-called without using a time bank.

Chong tabled the 7♦6♦ and Villares leaned over from the other side of the table.

"What is that?" he asked and was then told seven-high before he flipped over his 5♦2♠.

"Five deuce, basura ... I am the king of basura," Villares declared. It is the Filipino word for trash.

Dylan Yip had already almost all of the chips in to the Q♥5♦5♣9♦ turn when he revealed the A♠J♦ in showdown versus Hyunsik Nam. The latter tabled his A♥8♥ and the Q♣ brought groans from the table as the split pot was secured.

However, the pay jump was secured for Yip shortly after when Fernan Manansala busted from a different table to reduce the field to the last 36 contenders.
