Fedor Holz, who entered 45 minutes late, was seated directly to Phil Ivey's right and he just came into the pot with a raise to 7,500 under the gun plus one. Ivey made the call and so did both blinds, Dan Smith and Talal Shakerchi.

Scott Seiver quickly explained that a time bank chip would be taken from him when the clock reached 1:00, and Holz opted to fold before he had to do so.
David Sands raised to 8,000 from under the gun, Phil Galfond called from the button and Doug Polk three-bet to 30,500 from the small blind. Both Sands and Galfond called and the flop came down .

Sands tabled a set of eights, Polk mucked and Sands collected the pot.
On the flop, Sam Trickett was pitted against Tobias Reinkemeier. Tricot was first and bet 32,000. After a bit of thought, Reinkemeier reached for a bit more chips and raised.
"We're playing poker now, boys!" said Antonio Esfandiari as he watched the action unfold.
Reinkemeier had made it 90,000 to go, but Trickett wasn't having it and quickly gave up his hand.
"Rrrrrreinkemeier!" Esfandiari said with a roll of his tongue. "The beast!"
Tom MacDonald raised from the button, Phil Galfond three-bet out of the big blind and MacDonald called.
The flop fell and Galfond checked to MacDonald who bet 25,000. Galfond called, the turn fell and Galfond checked to MacDonald again who bet 70,000. Galfond called after a few moments to see the river and checked. MacDonald fired 160,000, sending Galfond into the tank for about 90 seconds before he folded.
Since Galfond took more than one minute to act, he had to surrender one of his timebank cards.
