Burns Mixing it Up

Level 9 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Kahle Burns played what looked to be a reraised pot on the button against Bryn Kenney in the cutoff. Burns bet 35,000 on a {9-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} flop and Kenney called. Both checked the {7-Diamonds} and a {2-Hearts} hit. Burns folded to 44,000.

The next hand, Kenney opened for 10,000 and Burns made it 32,000. Kenney called and check-folded on a {3-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} flop.

The next hand, Burns opened for 9,000. Brandon Adams made it 34,000 and Burns peeled to see {j-Spades}{9-Spades}{5-Hearts}. He checked and Adams bet 42,000. Burns slid in 118,000 and Adams folded.

Badziakouski Doubles Through Smith

Level 9 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

With around 160,000 in the middle, and the board reading {7-Spades}{4-Spades}{10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}, Dan Smith announced he was all in from the big blind, and Mikita Badziakouski quickly called all in for 112,000.

Smith: {K-Spades}{Q-Spades}
Badziakouski: {7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}

Badziakouski was at risk, but any club, or non-spade nine, seven, six, or five would also ensure him of the double.

The river landed the {A-Clubs} and Badziakouski doubled for the second time this level.

Jake Schindler Ousted

Level 9 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Jake Schindler
Jake Schindler

Jake Schindler was eliminated from contention. His downfall started in a hand against Jason Koon which saw Schindler (big blind) check the river of the {A-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{9-Spades}{3-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} board. Koon fired 126,000 on the button and Schindler called, looking into Koon's turned set with {3-Diamonds}{3-Spades}.

Schindler was crippled to last few big blinds and he couldn't peel a hand to find within the following orbit, losing a half of his remaining stack. He eventually got in his last 21,500 in the cutoff, finding a customer in small blind Sergio Aido.

Jake Schindler: {K-Clubs}{6-Hearts}
Sergio Aido: {A-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}

The board ran {5-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{6-Spades} to send Schindler packing.

Ivey Eliminated by Kenney

Level 9 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Phil Ivey
Phil Ivey

From the cutoff, Phil Ivey opened to 10,000 and Brandon Adams called on the button.

Bryn Kenney called from the big blind, and then checked the {K-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{10-Spades} flop. Ivey continued for 30,000, and Adams folded, as Kenney called.

The turn landed the {Q-Diamonds} and Kenney checked to Ivey who bet 70,000. Kenney announced he was all in, and Ivey called all in for an additional 115,000.

Phil Ivey: {J-Clubs}{9-Clubs}
Bryn Kenney: {Q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}

With Ivey drawing dead, he quickly made an exit from the PokerGO studio before the final card could be dealt.

The river landed the {9-Spades}, and with Ivey eliminated from the 2018 Super High Roller Bowl, Kenney collected the pot and moved to over 500,000 in chips.

Kaverman Picks Off Soverel

Level 9 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Sam Soverel raised to 11,500 on the button and Byron Kaverman three-bet to 40,000 out of the small blind. Soverel called and Kaverman gave up his betting lead on the {6-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} flop. Soverel pushed forward 40,000 and Kaverman called.

The {9-Hearts} turn was checked through and the {10-Diamonds} landed on the river. Kaverman checked yet again but Soverel fired 90,000. Kaverman burned two timebanks before convincing himself to call, and the patient decision paid off.

Soverel showed {K-Clubs}{J-Clubs} for a bluff and Kaverman took down a nice pot with {A-Spades}{5-Spades} for a bottom pair.
