A player opened to 8,000 under the gun and was called by the player on his left as well as the cutoff. On the button, Ryan Stiner jammed for 87,000. The original opener folded but the player on his left rejammed covering the others.

It was a coinflip scenario as the 7♣6♥4♥ flop offered no immediate assistance to Stiner. The 2♥ turn gave him the superior flush draw, but the K♣ bricked off on the river as the two-time champion of this event Stiner will have to wait until another flight on his quest for trilogy.

John Reading jammed for his final 23,000 second-to-act before the cutoff rejammed for 88,000, and all subsequent action folded after the button tank-folded.

"This is the medicine right here," tablemate Nicholas Julia commented on Reading's hand.

However, the J♣5♠5♣ flop offered no help to the suited three-gapper. The board ran out Q♦9♦, giving his opponent top boat to end Reading's day prematurely.

"Did you fold the winner?" another player needled the button who made the correct fold.

Allacher Falls to Moffs

After losing a massive pot the previous hand to another big stack's flush, Scott Allacher had committed most of his chips involuntarily as the big blind and ante.

Antony Moffs raised to 10,000 under the gun and Allacher called off his final 8,000 or so from the big blind.

Antony Moffs: 10♠10♣

Allacher was in rough shape against the tens, and found no improvement on the A♣9♣7♣2♣9♥ runout as his opponent made a flush to send the Pai Gow expert to the rail.

A player limped under the gun and John Riordan limped behind in middle position. In the hijack, Jonah Labranche raised to 13,000, and only Riordan called.

On the Q♦J♦7♥ flop, Riordan check-called a bet of 12,000 from Labranche.

The 4♣ turn checked through to the 5♦ river which saw Riordan lead for 15,000, and Labranche quickly tossed in the call. However, he got the bad news as Riordan flipped over A♣J♠ for the winner, and he extended his chip lead.

Ryan Brown had opened to 6,000 from early position and was called by a player in middle position, as well as Antony Moffs in the big blind.

On then 5♠5♥3♠ flop, it checked to the middle position player who bet 13,000, and only Moffs called.

Moffs then decided to lead on the Q♦ turn for 25,000, and his opponent eventually laid it down after a minute's tank.

Both the 9♥9♦4♠ flop and the 6♠ turn checked through.

On the 5♠ river, Julia tossed out an overbet of 25,000, getting a fold from his opponent after some deliberation.

At another table, Mike Wattel had three-bet to 15,000 following an open from another player. The big blind then cold-called, while the original opener got out of the way.

Wattel put out a bet on the A♣K♦7♣ flop, but his opponent immediately folded Q♦Q♣ face-up. Wattel tabled K♥K♣, showing his opponent that he was in bad shape the whole way.
