Romeo continued for 2,500 on the 3♥10♠9♥, but the hijack check-raised to 6,500. It didn't take long for Romeo to call.
Both players checked the 9♣ turn, but on the 8♣ river, the hijack led out for 27,000. Romeo went deep into the tank, but eventually folded.

Yesterday, 172 entrants were recorded after Day 1a, with 43 players advancing to Day 2. They are led by Poland’s Mateusz Sikora with 498,000 chips, followed by Manuel Valduga (406,000), Peter Kvisthammar (394,500), and Pierre Basile in fourth place with 371,500.
