A player opened to 800 from under the gun and Moundir Zoughari defended from the big blind.

The under the gun player continued for 1,000 on the 10♠9♥6♠ flop, but Zoughari check-raised to 2,500. His opponent three-bet to 9,000 and Zoughari quickly called to find the A♥ turn.

Both players checked, and the Q♦ river brought no more action. Zoughari flipped over A♠3♠ for top pair with a missed flush draw, and the under the gun player's cards went into the muck.

Life Outside Poker is a new podcast for PokerNews hosted by Connor Richards that seeks to pull back the curtain on poker players and allow viewers and listeners to get to know them on a personal level.

In the 19th episode, Connor speaks with former poker pro Eugene Katchalov, one of Ukraine's all-time money leaders who fled the country in 2022 after Russia's invasion and has since returned to the war-torn region with his family.

Katchalov, a former PokerStars ambassador, talked about growing up in New York City, his poker glory days and 2007 Doyle Brunson Five Diamond World Poker Classic victory for $2.5 million, returning to Ukraine and misconceptions about the longstanding conflict with Russia. He also discussed his venture into esports and new plans to get back into poker with a project aimed at leveling the playing field between pros and recreationals.

A player opened from under the gun and he was called by Michael Anty in the cutoff and Andrea Lazzaro in the small blind.

The big blind squeezed to 5,500 and made the under the gun player fold. Anty called, but Lazzaro four-bet to 20,000. The big blind immediately moved all-in for 46,300. Anty folded and Lazzaro called.

Lazzaro seemed unhappy to see his opponents' aces. But his face changed when he flopped a set on 2♣4♠5♦7♥9♠ to send his opponent to the rail.
