105 Players Advance to Day 2 of the WSOP Circuit Aix-en-Provence Main Event
After the four starting flights, it’s now time for the big reunion with Day 2 of the €1,500 World Series of Poker Circuit Aix-en-Provence Main Event at the Pasino Grand Partouche.
A total of 783 entries were recorded this year, generating a prize pool of €1,014,768, but only 105 players remain for Day 2, all already in the money.
Among them, Anthony Apicella (1,390,000) bagged the overall chip lead after Day 1c, surpassing the 1,025,000 amassed by Frank Debus on Day 1b. Albakri Ahamada (1,011,000) will start third in chips, ahead of the two other millionaires, Mitchell Johnson (1,003,000) and Omar Lakhdari (1,000,000).

Alongside Day 1a chip leader Suwei Yang (894,000), Radoslaw Kopec (885,000), Georgios Skarparis (835,000), and Julien Sitbon (755,000) also bagged big stacks, as did Valentin Messina (637,000), Frédéric Delval (598,000), Michel Leibgorin (579,000), Axel Bayout (576,000), and seven-time WSOP Circuit champion Sonny Franco (567,000).
Hervé Gouzil (486,000) is also in contention, along with Mathieu Choffardet (389,000), Tahar Said (352,000), Jérémy Routier (313,000), and WSOP bracelet winners Manig Loeser (307,000) and Giovanni Rosadoni (283,000), Gregory Teboul (282,000), Gilles Silbernagel (182,000), and Thibault Perissat (146,000).
Aurélie Réard (274,000), Cécile Ticherfatine (171,000), Rabah Ait Abdelmalek (115,000), Pierre Calamusa (114,000), Eric Sfez (108,000), and €750 PKO ring winner Clément Michaud (96,000) are among the shorter stacks.
Finally, at the bottom of the chip counts are Rémi Gallardo and Virgile Turchi (60,000), both holding just one big blind above the starting stack.
Play will resume this Sunday, April 19 at 1 p.m. local time, with blinds set at 6,000/12,000 with a 12,000 big blind ante, and 60-minute levels. The objective will be to close out the day as near as possible to the final table.
All 105 remaining players have secured a minimum cash prize of €3,750, but the complete payout structure will only be announced once play gets back underway.
