Sachin Naidoo was all-in from an early position with the J♠J♦ and was called by Ariel Mazabow in the cutoff holding the A♠Q♠.
The 9♦5♥2♣J♥4♣ board in the last hand of the level kept Naidoo in the mix.

The first session at the tables has cut the field essentially in half as 46 Day 1 survivors were reduced to only 24 hopefuls across the final three tables. There won't be a redraw until the final nine and the feature table line-up will change for the next two hours after the first short 10-minute break.
Just before the end of the level, Eben Lottering was all-in and at risk preflop and up versus Jarrod Page in one of the most classic flips.
Eben Lottering: A♣K♣
Jarrod Page: J♠J♣
The 9♣6♥2♠ flop was of no help for Lottering who then picked up more outs with the 5♣ turn. Instead of clubs, the classic A♦ on the river secured his double-up.

Jason De Villiers limped in from under the gun and Jason Zulch then jammed for 110,000 on the button. Both blinds folded and De Villiers called rather quickly.
Jason Zulch: 10♣9♦
Jason De Villiers: K♥2♥
Neither player connected with the A♠4♠4♦5♠8♣ board and that spelled the end for Zulch just shy of the final three tables.

Within quick succession, several players have been eliminated and Ryan Brauer departed to vault PN to a seven-figure stack. Chad Moolman and Paul Muller followed soon after and there were suddenly only 26 players left.
Muller jammed the last 141,000 with the Q♥J♣ and Daniel Habib called from the big blind holding the A♦3♦.
The 9♥7♥6♥ flop was a mighty sweat with the flush draw, but the 7♦ turn and 2♣ river were both blanks.

Simon Solomon had seen his stack dwindle to only a handful of big blinds which he got in with the 2♠2♣. BC Van Rooyen was very delighted to call from under the gun with the A♣A♥ and had nothing at all to fear on the A♦Q♥6♥10♦3♥ runout.
