Stephen Song opened to 80,000 in the cutoff and Quan Zhou called in the big blind with only 45,000 behind. On the 985 flop, Zhou check-called all-in and was ahead with 95 for two pair against the Q9 of Song.

The 5 turn improved Zhou to a full house and the 6 river officially confirmed his double-up.

Stephen Song opened to 80,000 from early position and was called by William Jia in the hijack. It was then folded to Yang Liu, who shoved for just under 400,000 from the small blind. Song folded, but Jia called to put Liu at risk.

Yang Liu: AKAll in
William Jia: 88

The 3JA flop vaulted Liu into the lead with a pair of aces and the 5 turn changed nothing; however the 8 appeared on the river — getting a collective gasp from everyone at the table as Jia made a set of eights to eliminate Liu in dramatic fashion.

Zhong Leaves Jin on the Short Stack

Level 31 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Three players headed to a flop of AAQ in a limped pot where Boxin Jin led out with a bet of 60,000 from the small blind with Q9. Weizheng Zhong called in the big blind A3 and the other player folded.

The turn was the 2 and Jin checked this time. Zhong counted out a bet of 70,000 and Jin called to see the Q on the river. Both players made a full house and Jin checked. Zhong announced all in as the big stack and Jin went into the tank for his last 215,000 chips. Jin eventually made the right fold to survive but is now the short stack.

Yiyu Zhou: 66 All in
Quan Zhou: A5

The J837K board kept the shorter stack ahead as she doubled for 315,000 to leave the TLPT founder on fumes.

Zheng Basically Doubles Through Wen

Level 30 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Huan Wen limped in from the small blind and Zhanhui Zheng checked his option to the AQ6 flop, which went check, check. On the 9 turn, Wen bet 60,000 and Zheng called before the former then bet the J river for 150,000. Zheng reluctantly called and was shown the KK by Wen, which he had beat with the Q9 for turned two pair.

Jia Steps on the Gas

Level 30 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

William Jia raised to 60,000 from under the gun with A10 and Bin Wang was the only player to call from the big blind with 84.

The flop came J64 and Wang checked to Jia who continued with a bet of 45,000. Wang check-raised to 120,000 with bottom pair which happened to be the best hand at the time. However, Jia had the nut flush draw and moved all in, prompting a quick fold from Wang.

Zhong Continues to Climb

Level 30 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Jiaming Zhao opened to 70,000 from early position and was three-bet to 170,000 by Huan Wen in the cutoff. It was then folded to Weizheng Zhong, who announced he was all in for 1,400,000 from the big blind.

Zhao verified the amount before letting his hand go and Wen folded as well after a bit of thought to give Zhong the pot uncontested.
