Jin Forces Out Zheng

Level 29 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

In a duel of shorter stacks on the outer table, Zhanhui Zheng limped in and Boxin Jin checked his option in the next seat out of the big blind. Both checked the 962 flop and Zheng bet the 9 turn for 25,000.

Jin raised to 90,000 and Zheng used one time bank before he reluctantly folded.

Wang Fades Everything for a Double

Level 29 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Bin Wang raised to 50,000 from the hijack with KK and Yang Liu called from the big blind with a suited Q3. The flop came 1093 and Liu check-called a bet of 45,000 from Wang after picked up a pair of threes.

The 8 on the turn made things interesting as Liu also picked up a straight and a flush draw. He checked it again and Wang sized up a bet of 95,000. Liu check-raised all in as the bigger stack and Wang used a time bank before making the call for additional 195,000.

The dealer burned and turned the 7 on the river which missed Liu entirely, sending a double up Wang's way. On the flip side, Liu joined the feature table with over 1,000,000 chips and is now down to just over five big blinds.

Wen Gets Respect

Level 29 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Boxin Jin opened to 50,000 from early position and was called by Xuecong Wu in the small blind and Huan Wen in the big bind for a three-way pot.

Wu and Wen checked to Jin, who continued for 65,000 on the A104 flop. Wu called, but then Wen check-raised to 250,000 after using up a timebank card.

Wu immediately let his hand go and Jin followed suit after a bit of thought — conceding the pot to Wen.

Pingfeng Wu Eliminated in 16th Place (US$5,300)

Jiaming Zhao raised to 55,000 and then called the shove by Pingfeng Wu in the next seat for only 190,000.

Pingfeng Wu: A8 All in
Jiaming Zhao: 109

Wu was ahead but his comeback was in danger on the K104 flop, as Zhao improved to a pair of tens. His ace was live, as were any clubs, but only the clubs could help after the 9 turn. The river was the J and that sent Wu to the rail in 16th place.

He was one of two players to bag up chips in two starting flights, combining the respective stack sizes while also earning two Day 1 rewards as well. On top of that, he earned another US$5,300 for his deep run today.

Zhu Sets the Perfect Trap

Level 29 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Yang Liu limped in from middle position with 85 and Fangzhou Zhu set the trap by just calling behind with QQ. Stephen Song took the bait with a raise to 90,000 in the cutoff holding AJ. It was back on Liu who stepped out with a reraise to 240,000 with just eight-high.

Zhu deliberated for a moment and then jammed all in for 455,000. Song quickly threw his ace into the muck and Liu asked for a count. With a grin on his face, Liu gave it some thought before making the call.

The flop came J32 and Zhu was way out front with his pocket queens. The 3 on the turn sealed the deal and the K on the river became a formality as Zhu collected a surprising double up.
