Allgood is All Good

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante

We came to the table with a board reading {J-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{2-Clubs} in a multi-way pot. In the small blind, Sara Allgood checked and a player in middle position bet 3,200. Another runner made a call right behind them and then it's back to Allgood. She called and flipped over {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for a flush as a player in middle position flashed a {J-Clubs}.

Allgood now has 36,000 after winning a pot of about 15,000.

Ficek Doubles

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante

Darren Ficek just doubled up with {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}, good for a flush on the {9-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{j-Spades}{3-Clubs} board. His opponent had {j-}{7-} for two pair. We didn't see when the money went in.

Rodger Johnson

Rodger Johnson got his last 9,425 in from the cutoff and got a call from the small blind.

Johnson: {k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}
Small blind: {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

Johnson flopped top two, but his opponent turned the dreaded ten to bust him with a Broadway straight.

Straight Flush for Powell

Level 8 : 300/600, 75 ante

Steve Belland bet approximately 2,500 on a {10-Spades}{8-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{j-Spades} board, and Reg Powell shoved all in for a bit under 30,000. The pot was only about 10,000 before Belland's bet, and he began to think.

Powell lifted up his cards excitedly, but Belland hadn't called.

"Sorry, I thought you called," Powell said.

"You thought I called and you didn't show?" Belland said. "Alright, I call."

Belland had misread the situation though, as Powell had {q-Spades}{9-Spades} for the stone nuts. Belland's {9-Clubs}{7-Clubs} was of course drawing dead.

Harris Gets a River Fold

Level 8 : 300/600, 75 ante
Lance Harris
Lance Harris

We caught up with the action on a board {5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{3-Spades} with the pot built up to about 23,000. In middle position, Lance Harris bet out 10,300 on the turn and a player on the button contemplated for a minute. He eventually called.

On the river came the {10-Hearts} and Harris shoved for about 20,000 more. The player on the button quickly folded and Harris built his stack up to around 60,000.

"Is That You or is That the Six Screwdrivers?"

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante
Navin Persaud
Navin Persaud

Everett Carlton opened to 1,100 in early position, and the player next to him called. Action folded to Navin Persaud, who made it 3,500 to go in the big blind. Carlton announced 6,000, and the squeezed player put his last 6,700 in. Persaud shoved all in after some thought for approximately 24,000, covering Carlton.

"Is that you or is that the six screwdrivers?" Carlton asked. After tanking a couple of minutes, he mucked.

"It's not the screwdrivers," Persaud said, showing {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}. His opponent had {j-Spades}{10-Clubs} and was crushed, drawing dead by the turn as the board rolled out {2-Clubs}{q-Spades}{5-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{4-Spades}.
