Six Way Limped Pot

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

There were 6 players that limped in to see the {9-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} flop. Action checked to Dan Hamm in the cutoff, Reggie Powell called on the button, and the player in the big blind as well as middle position both called as well.

All of the remaining four players checked the {5-Diamonds} turn.

When the {q-Spades} river hit, the player in the big blind shoved all-in for approximately 7,000. The player in middle position quickly folded, as did Hamm. Powell thought for a brief moment before eventually folding his hand.

Hamm said, "Ugliest river card I could have seen," shaking his head.

Andy Van Blair Calls the River

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

On a board reading {q-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{k-Hearts}, the player in the big blind bet 2,000. The button, former MSPT Champion Andy Van Blair, thought for a moment before tossing in the chips to make the call.

The big blind turned over {q-Spades}{j-Spades} for queens and eights with a king kicker. Van Blair slowly mucked his cards.

The Battle of the Sixes

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante
David Gutfreund
David Gutfreund

David Gutfreund raised it up preflop to 475 and the player in the cuttoff as well as the button and the big blind came along.

The flop came {q-Hearts}{6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}, and this is where the war began. The big blind checked, Gutfreund bet 925, and the cutoff called. With action on the button, he raised to 2,000 and at this point the big blind decided to fold.

Gutfreund called the 2000. But when it was back on the player in the cutoff, he raised to 6,000. After thinking for a moment, the player on the button opted to cut his losses and folded his hand. Gutfreund reraised to 18,500, the cutoff shoved all-in, and Gutfreund quickly called.

David Gutfreund: {7-Spades}{6-Clubs}
Cutoff: {a-Spades}{6-Clubs}

The turn came the {9-Diamonds}, but luckily for Gutfreund the {q-Clubs} on the river paired the board resulting in a chopped pot.

Gerald Heckathorn Rivers Quads

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

Gerald Heckathorn raised to 11,000, a player in late position three-bet to 27,000, Heckathorn shoved all-in, and the player in late position quickly called.

Gerald Heckathorn: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Opponent: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

The {10-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{a-Spades} flop gave Heckathorn's opponent the commanding lead with his pair of aces. But the {q-Diamonds} on the turn quickly changed things in Heckathorn's favor, having turned a set.

When the {q-Spades} hit on the river, Heckathorn's full double up was secured, having rivered quad queens.
