Matt Alexander is having a tough go today. He was previously involved in a big hand with Blake Bohn, and when we approached the table, Alexander had just called an opponent's all-in on a 
board.
Alexander turned over 
for top pair, but unfortunately his opponent turned over 
for a higher kicker.
The 
turn and 
river failed to improve Alexander's hand and he was left with 25,000 after doubling up his opponent.

Matt Alexander raised to 1,300 under the gun, Blake Bohn reraised to 3,500, Alexander four-bet to 11,000, and Bohn called.
The flop came 
. Alexander lead for 9,000, Bbohn shoved all in, and Alexander quickly folded.
Bohn slid his cards in front of Alexander for him to look at, but Alexander chose to slide them forward into the muck without looking.
Bohn said, "I wish you had queens there. I had the best possible hand."

Mark Sandness raised under the gun, and a player in middle position, as well as John Kurfman on the button, both called.
All three players checked the 
flop.
Sandness lead out for 3,000 when the 
came on the turn. The player in middle position folded, Kurfman raised to 6,000, and Sandness quickly called.
Sandness check-called a bet of 5,000 from Kurfman when the 
hit on the river.
Sandness showed 
and Kurfman showed 
resulting in a chopped pot for both players.

DJ Buckley check-raised to 11,000 from the big blind on a board reading 
after a player in the hijack bet 3,000. The player called.
Buckley then open-shipped 19,000 on the river. His opponent tanked for over four minutes before eventually folding his hand.

As previously reported, Terry Ring was recently eliminated. But Ring has opted to utilize his one reentry, and is officially the 200th player to register in flight 1b.
If we reach 21 more players in the next three levels, we will officially have a $400,000 prize pool for the second time in Mid-States Poker Tour history.
