Kirby Straightens Out Illingworth

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Matt Kirby bet 2,100 from the hijack on a board of {10-Spades}{7-Clubs}{a-Spades}{9-Diamonds}, and Joe Illingworth called in the cutoff. Kirby fired bigger with 6,500 when the {8-Clubs} made a four-straight on board, and Illingworth announced a call. Kirby quickly tabled {k-Hearts}{j-Spades} for a jack-high straight.

Gary Tsui

Gary Tsui checked from the big blind on a {6-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{a-Spades} flop, and Matt Alexander tossed had a blue T1,000 chip in front of him when we arrived, having bet an unknown amount. Tsui made it 2,300 to go, and Alexander called. Tsui checked the {4-Spades}, and Alexander bet 3,500. Tsui came out with another check-raise, this time to 9,000, which Alexander again called. Tsui put Alexander all in for his last 8,000 or so on the {7-Diamonds} river, and Alexander shook his head and snap-folded.

Nick Pupillo

Gary Tsui just got a player all in on a {9-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} flop for about 15,000 with Tsui holding {2-Spades}{2-Diamonds} and his opponent having {k-Spades}{k-Clubs} for an overpair. Tsui turned quads to end the minor sweat.

At another table, Nick Pupillo said he saw a flop five ways for 600 apiece holding {3-}{3-} and {3-}{8-}{10-} flopped. Pupillo called 3,000, then 6,000 more on the {3-} turn. On {j-} river, Pupillo's opponent check-called off his 4,875 stack with {q-}{q-}.
