Suzuki Chipping Up

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

The player in middle position and the small blind limped and Patrick Suzuki checked from the big blind.

The dealer fanned a flop of {10-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{5-Clubs} that was checked around to the {5-Hearts} turn. The small blind bet 1,000 and Suzuki and the player in mid-position called.

The {5-Spades} completed the board and the three players opted to check. Suzuki tabled {2-Spades}{2-Hearts} for fives full of deuces and his opponents sent their hands to the muck.

Proffit Eliminates an Opponent

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

Barb Visher raised to 1,700 under the gun and the player in middle position called along with Scott Proffit in the hijack, Dmitri Amirov on the button, and the player in the big blind.

Players saw a flop of {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{j-Spades} and action was checked to Proffit who bet 4,100. Amirov and the big blind called but Visher and the player in mid-position folded.

The turn brought the {6-Spades} and was checked through to the {6-Diamonds} river. The big blind moved all in for 12,400 and Proffit called. Amirov let it go. The big blind turned over {k-Spades}{8-Spades} for a king-high flush but that wasn't good enough as a Proffit revealed {a-Spades}{3-Spades} to win the pot with his ace-high flush.
