The Mid-States Poker Tour (MSPT) is in its home stretch for 10th season, and PokerNews is not only slated to live report the final tournaments of 2019 but will also offer live updates from the MSPT’s 11th season in 2020.

The MSPT continues to grow and establish itself as one of the premier tours in the United States with a strong presence in the middle of the country. They’re also closing in on a milestone of awarding $100,000,000 in prize money!

Known for their $1,100 Main Events and $350 Regional Events, the MSPT also offers live streams for most Main Event final tables, a monthly magazine (available for free in both print and digital formats), established its own MSPT Hall of Fame, and has a strong presence on social media.

“We’re excited to partner with PokerNews for our upcoming 11th season, which is shaping up to be the biggest and best yet,” said MSPT President Bryan Mileski. “We look forward to setting more state records, crossing the $100-million mark in prize money awarded, and continuing to offer players great tournaments across the country. Now, players from around the world can follow the action via PokerNews’ live updates.”

The player in middle position limped along with Brian Beck on the button and the player in the small blind. Gene Gioia pumped it up to 2,500 from the big blind and the player in middle position was the only one to add the remainder to call.

The dealer fanned a flop of {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} and Gioia checked. The player in middle position bet 4,500 and Gioia check-raised all in for 16,900. His opponent went deep into the tank, then gave up his hand.

Horsley's Kicker Plays

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

Action folded to Eugene Horsley who raised to 1,200 from the small blind and the player in the big blind called.

The flop fell {10-Spades}{9-Spades}{6-Clubs} and Horsley threw in a bet of 1,500 that his opponent called.

The turn was the {a-Spades} and Horsley continued with another bet of 2,500 that the big blind called again.

The {10-Clubs} filled up the board and Horsley fired 3,000. The player in the big blind called and turned over {a-Clubs}{9-Hearts} for aces and tens. However that wasn't good enough as Horsley tabled {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} to win the pot with aces and tens and a king kicker.
