Brinn Gets a KO

Level 6 : 300/500, 500 ante
Cody Brinn
Cody Brinn

Cody Brinn was overheard wishing an opponent a good game as the runout on his table finished. The board read {6-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{10-Spades}{j-Diamonds}, and Brinn's winning hand of {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts} was still tabled, showing Broadway.

Brinn shared the remaining details, saying he was on the button opened to 1,300. The small blind three-bet all in with {a-}{6-} and Brinn called. He had the player drawing dead on the turn despite the three outer coming before it on the flop, and now has a stack of 53,500 after taking down the pot.

Dombrowski Makes the Nuts

Level 6 : 300/500, 500 ante

Dan Dombrowski opened to 1,300 from middle position and saw action fold around to the big blind, who defended. The flop came {j-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{9-Spades} and the big blind checked to Dombrowski, who made a continuation-bet of 1,500. The big blind called.

The turn was {7-Hearts} and the big blind led out, taking two T1,000 chips and setting them onto the felt, spreading them out with his index finger as he set them down. Dombrowski thought for a few seconds and then called.

The river fell {4-Clubs} and the big blind checked. Dombrowski fired 6,800 into the middle and the big blind announced a call after a few seconds

Dombrowski showed {a-Clubs}{7-Clubs} for the nut flush and took down the pot.

Urosev Chips Up

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

There was around 3,300 in the middle from preflop action on a flop of {k-Spades}{6-Clubs}{3-Clubs} with three-way action. The under-the-gun player checked to Nghia Le, who bet 1,500 from early position. Branislav Urosev was in the hijack and raised to 5,500. The under-the-gun player called and Le thought for a few moments before calling as well.

The turn came {5-Hearts} and action checked to Urosev, who announced he was all in. He received two folds in short succession and took down the pot.

Joseph Ramps Up the Aggression

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante
Johanssy Joseph
Johanssy Joseph

Two players limped in from early position and action folded its way around to Johanssy Joseph, who was in the hijack and raised to 2,000. The big blind called behind, as did both limpers to take action four ways to the streets.

The flop came {6-Spades}{k-Spades}{j-Diamonds} and action checked to Joseph, who put in a T5,000 chip as he announced a continuation-bet of 3,500. The next two players to act folded and the last player in early position called.

With action heads up, the turn fell {6-Diamonds}. The early-position player checked.

"All in," said Joseph, looking to the dealer as he made the announcement. The player across the table folded, resulting in Joseph's turn bet earning him the pot.

Delayed Continuation-Bet Works for Johnson

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante
Aaron Johnson
Aaron Johnson

A payer in early position opened to 800 and was called by players behind him in middle position and on the button. Aaron Johnson then three-bet to 5,700 from the small blind.

The early-position player folded and both other players called, taking three-way action to a flop of {k-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{2-Spades}. All three players checked.

The turn came {k-Spades} and Johnson sat stoically for about 15 seconds before throwing out a bet of 6,500. The middle-position player thought for a couple seconds and then shook his head in a slightly nodding fashion. He then folded. The player on the button folded shortly thereafter and Johnson quickly took back his bet and scooped up the pot that was shipped his way.

Barnes Flops a Set, Gets a Stack

Level 4 : 200/300, 300 ante

There was over 6,000 in the middle from preflop action as stacks were in the process of going in on a flop of {4-Spades}{2-Hearts}{8-Spades}. Hands were tabled and the small blind was at risk against Eric Barnes, who was in the big blind.

Small Blind: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Eric Barnes: {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}

Barnes had flopped top set and was able to get his opponent's pocket kings to commit the rest of his chips, causing a reaction from a few other players at the table as the player now needed to hit a two outer of his own on one of the final two cards to stay alive.

The turn came {2-Clubs}, improving Barnes to a full house. Nonetheless, the only thing that changed for the small blind was that his number of chances to hit a king were cut in half. That number went from one to zero as the river came {3-Clubs}, leaving his hand to be second best and resulting in his elimination at the expense of Barnes.

Dombrowski Showers a Shorty

Level 4 : 200/300, 300 ante

A player went all in for his last 1,800 from under the gun and Dan Dombrowski reraised to 3,600 from early position, two to the all-in player's left. All remaining players folded.

All-In Player: {j-Clubs}{9-Spades}
Dan Dombrowski: {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

"Well, two live cards," said the all-in player. His live cards could not help him stay alive as the board ran out {3-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{8-Spades}{7-Diamonds}, resulting in his departure from the tournament area as the pot was shipped Dombrowski's way.
