Watters Delivers a Shower

David Blankenship saw action folded to him in middle position and limped in. The hijack also limped in to put action onto Bob Watters, who was in the cutoff and pumped it up to 20,500. Action folded back to Blankenship and he let his cards go as well.

Action was then on the hijack and he limp-three-bet all in for about 35,000. Watters quickly called.

The two were off to the races with Watters out in front and poised for both the pot and the knockout. The runout came clean in his favor, falling to leave his pocket eights best and send his opponent to the showers just past the midway point in Level 12.

Fallis Doubles; Wheeler Busts

A player limped in under the gun and action folded around to Mike Fallis, who went all in from the cutoff. The next two players folded and the big blind asked to confirm the amount of 23,700, which the dealer did. He thought for a bit and then folded, putting action back onto the under-the-gun limper.

"You're probably ahead," said the player. "I call," he added afterwards so quickly that it came out as one runon sentence.

The player was not immediately correct, but his statement became true as the flop fell to give Fallis a pair of kings. It would be all Fallis needed as the turn and river completed the runout and scored him the double.

Moments later, Mike Wheeler was eliminated from the tournament on an adjacent table after his flopped top pair with ace-queen ran into a set of threes.

Collins was able to stave off elimination earlier and once again found himself up against a monster. However, he would find himself up against Geller's flopped quads for a largely quick and painless elimination.

Meanwhile, Geller now has a stack of around 485,000 and is the likely chip leader in the tournament with less than 90 minutes of play left in the evening.
