Eris Doubles Through Meyer

Level 7 : 400/800, 800 ante

There was around 10,000 in the middle on a flop of {q-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} with three-way action between Mert Eris in the small blind, Caleb Meyer who was under the gun, and Greg Gius in the cutoff.

Eris made a bet of 6,100 and Meyer called to send Gius into the tank. He thought for a few moments and then folded, bringing the turn {4-Spades}.

Action was then heads up as turn dropped {4-Spades} and Eris announced he was all in. The total to call was 13,000 and Meyer thought for close to a minute before tossing in matching chips.

Mert Eris: {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}
Caleb Meyer: {7-Hearts}{4-Hearts}

Eris' top pair was ahead of Meyer's pair of fours with an open-ended straight draw but he would need to fade a decent chunk of outs to stay alive. The river {q-Diamonds} complied with his needs and improved him to trips along the way, scoring him the double to bring him to nearly two starting stacks.

Glycenfer Folds Out Father and Son

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante

Ian Glycenfer was in early position and opened the action with a raise to 1,300. He was called by father Kevin Conolty in middle position and son Cannon Conolty in the hijack, and the three saw the flop come {k-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}.

Glycenfer made a continuation-bet of 1,300 and Kevin Conolty folded. Cannon Conolty called to take action heads up to the turn {5-Spades}. Glycenfer continued with a second barrel for 3,700 and Conolty stuck around.

The river fell {3-Diamonds} and Glycenfer emptied the clip, betting 5,100. Conolty went into the tank for over a minute and then let his hand go, resulting in the pot being sent Glycenfer's way.

Rooney Sends One To the Rail

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante
Branden Rooney
Branden Rooney

The hijack opened the action with a raise to 1,500 and Branden Rooney three-bet to 3,500 on the button. Action made its way back to the hijack and he went all in for the last of his chips. Rooney quickly called.

Hijack: {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}
Branden Rooney: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}

Rooney pulled even further ahead on the flop {a-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}, leaving his opponent in need of running outs to either a straight or quads to fade elimination. The turn {j-Diamonds} left Rooney's opponent drawing dead and the river {6-Spades} completed the runout to give Rooney the knockout and the pot.

Gius Running Good out of the Gate

Level 5 : 300/500, 500 ante
Greg Gius
Greg Gius

Greg Gius saw action folded to him in middle position and limped in. He was raised by Caleb Meyer to 2,300 out of the small blind and called, taking action heads up to a flop of {10-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{a-Clubs}. Meyer checked to Gius, who bet 2,000. Meyer called.

The dealer brought a turn of {k-Spades} and Meyer led out for 3,000. Gius raised to 11,000 to put Meyer into the tank. He eventually folded.

"C'mon! I always have it!" said Gius, slamming down {6-Clubs}{6-Hearts} onto the felt.

Tablemate Patrick Suzuki chimed in, "Man, how do you run so good? If I ran that good I'd win every tournament!"

A couple more players joined in on the conversation as Gius stacked his chips and the table proceeded to get ready for their next hand.

Mittleman Finds Quads on River To Double

Level 5 : 300/500, 500 ante
Dave Mittleman
Dave Mittleman

"An all in was heard. And a call was heard," said the dealer in rapid succession. Action was heads up between Dave Mittleman in the hijack and Andrew Peragallo, who was on the button. The board read {5-Clubs}{j-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}

Dave Mittleman: {5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}
Andrew Peragallo: {10-Hearts}{9-Spades}

Mittleman had flopped a set but got all of his chips in the middle on the turn once Peragallo had improved to the current nuts. He would need the board to pair on the river and got just that, improving to quads as the river fell {5-Spades} to score him the double at Peragallo's expense.
