Li Spikes the River to Crack Aces

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Fred Li
Fred Li

Fred Li was in the hijack and found himself all in preflop against the under the gun player who had 62,000.

Fred Li: {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}
Opponent: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}

Li was in rough shape and it didn't get any better after the {7-Hearts}{6-Spades}{k-Clubs} flop. The {10-Spades} turn gave him a gut shot straight draw, which he drilled on the river as the {8-Spades} completed the board to send Li the pot and his opponent to the rail.

Level 13 : 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante
Coleman Kilbane
Coleman Kilbane

Coleman Kilbane put his tournament life on the line when he moved all in for 35,000 from early position. Jason Trezak was in middle position and moved all in over the top. The rest of the table got out of the way and the players turned their cards over.

Jason Trezak: {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}
Coleman Kilbane: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}

Trezak was in good shape to score the knockout but found himself behind after the flop came {j-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{4-Clubs}. Kilbane was able to fade a king on the {9-Hearts} turn and {2-Spades} river to stay alive and get the double up.

Anderson Takes It On The Turn

Level 13 : 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante
James Anderson
James Anderson

A player raised to 7,000 in the cutoff and James Anderson called on the button. The blinds got out of the way and they went heads up to a flop.

The preflop aggressor put out a continuation bet of 10,000 when the flop came {9-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{5-Hearts}. Anderson raised to 27,000 and his opponent quickly called.

The {a-Clubs} fell on the turn and action checked to Anderson who again bet 27,000. The player in the cutoff looked at his cards one last time before he threw them in the muck. Anderson now sits with around 200,000.
