Top Pair Good for O'Neill; Vo Spotted With Chips

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

A player raised to 2,000 under the gun and was called by the player on his left. Action folded around to the big blind, where Chris O'Neill defended and action went three ways to a flop of {2-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{7-Clubs}.

Both O'Neill and the original raiser checked, and the other early-position player bet 2,000. Both players called, bringing the turn {a-Diamonds}. O'Neill checked again and the under-the-gun player fired out a bet of 6,500. The other early-position player folded and then O'Neill called.

Action was then heads up to the river {k-Spades} and O'Neill checked. The under-the-gun player thought for about 20 seconds and then checked behind to take the hand to showdown.

O'Neill showed {a-Hearts}{3-Spades} for a pair of aces and his opponent mucked to earn him the pot.

Viet Vo was also spotted moments later on an adjacent table earning a full double for a pile of chips with {q-Spades}{q-Clubs} and is now up to 144,000.

Shainiuk Shows the Bluff

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante
Roman Shainiuk
Roman Shainiuk

There was around 5,000 from preflop action between Roman Shainiuk in early position and Truyen Nguyen, who was on the button. Shainiuk had a bet out in front of him on a flop of {3-Clubs}{a-Spades}{10-Diamonds} and was in the process of calling a raise to 9,000 from Nguyen.

Both players checked the turn {k-Diamonds} and the river fell {k-Spades}. Shainiuk threw out a bet of 16,000.

Nguyen looked up at Shainiuk across the table and shook his head with a smile before sending his cards to the muck. Shainiuk raised his cards to show Nguyen, and then threw {5-Spades}{4-Spades} onto the table for nothing more than a missed wheel draw.

Dodson Gets Three Streets With Queens

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante
Ryan Dodson
Ryan Dodson

Ryan Dodson saw action fold to him in middle position and opened to 1,500. The player on the button called and action went heads up to a flop of {j-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{10-Spades}. Dodson made a continuation-bet of 1,500 and the player on the button called.

The turn came {8-Clubs} and Dodson continued, firing another 3,500 and receiving another call. The river fell {5-Clubs} and Dodson fired a third barrel for 7,000. The player on the button went into the tank, mulling over his decision for more than two minutes while holding calling chips in his hand. Eventually, he dropped said chips into the pot.

Dodson tabled {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} for queens up and his opponent mucked, earning him the pot full of three streets' worth of betting.

Santos Scores a Knockout

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante
Josias Santos
Josias Santos

A player in early position opened to 1,400 and was three-bet to 3,500 by the player on his left in middle position. Action made its way around to the cutoff, where Josias Santos cold four-bet to 9,500.

The early-position player five-bet jammed for around a starting stack, prompting the middle-position player to announce a fold while insinuating he wished to show his hand after all action was completed. The dealer asked for the cards and then told the player he would show on his behalf, but Santos called during the interaction and he then tabled {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}.

All-In Player: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}
Josias Santos: {q-Clubs}{q-Spades}

Santos was able to fade the overcards to his pair of ladies as the board ran out {7-Spades}{9-Spades}{7-Hearts}{8-Spades}{7-Diamonds} and he earned the pot and the knockout as a result.
