Mazzola Gets Value With a Set

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Alexander Mazzola opened to 10,000 in middle position and was three-bet to 36,000 by the player on the button. Both blinds folded and Mazzola called to take action heads up to a flop of {q-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}. Mazzola checked and his opponent made a continuation-bet of 26,000, which he called.

Action went check-check on the turn {k-Spades} and the river fell {4-Hearts}. Mazzola fired out 43,000, which sent his opponent into the tank for a few moments before tossing in chips to call.

Mazzola showed {q-Spades}{q-Hearts} for a set of queens. His opponent mucked and the pot was shipped his way.

Gibson Folds Out Rossitto

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Sean Gibson
Sean Gibson

Sean Gibson was in the hijack and raised to 7,000. A few folds brought action onto Michael Rossitto, who defended his big blind to take action heads up to a flop of {6-Hearts}{2-Spades}{9-Clubs}. Rossitto checked to Gibson, who made a continuation-bet of 7,000. Rossitto check-raised to 22,000 and Gibson called.

The turn came {6-Diamonds} and Rossitto paused for a couple of seconds before checking. Gibson checked behind and the river fell {a-Hearts}. Rossitto checked over to Gibson once more and Gibson threw out a bet of 15,000.

No sooner than Gibson's chips hit the felt did Rossitto release his hand to the center of the table, earning Gibson the pot without needing to see a showdown.

Sung Kim was just seen standing up at the rail and confirmed the news of his recent elimination. According to Kim, he was in the small blind and three-bet shoved for around 50,000 over an open from the player on the button. Nadya Magnus barely covered in the big blind and immediately committed all of her chips thereafter, prompting a fold from the player on the button.
