Matt Kirby

On a flop of {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}, a player in the small blind and Nate Dennis in early position checked to Matt Kirby in late position who bet 6,000. The small blind called, and Dennis then check-raised to 25,000. Only Kirby made the call.

On the {3-Spades} turn, Dennis continued his aggression with a bet of 40,000. the three-time MSPT Main Event winner responded by moving all in for approximately 150,000.

After about a minute of deliberation, Dennis folded to preserve his stack, while Kirby raked in a big pot to vault up toward the chip leaders.

Another Huge Hand for Heiberg

Level 10 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Jeff Heiberg
Jeff Heiberg

Jeff Heiberg's stack had dwindled to under 100,000 despite making several big hands today, but he just hit another one to vault back up and eliminate Adam Joens.

Heiberg raised to 4,500 from under the gun and was called by Joens in the big blind.

After Joens checked a flop of {5-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{9-Clubs}, Heiberg continued for 5,000. This was met by a check-raise to 13,000 from Joens.

Heiberg responded by moving all in for Joens' remaining 55,000, which Joens called.

Adam Joens: {7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}
Jeff Heiberg: {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}

Joens had the nuts with a nine-high straight and a redraw to a flush, while Heiberg held top set.

The turn brought no help to Heiberg with the {q-Clubs}, but the {9-Diamonds} fell on the river to give Heiberg quad nines and a huge win to boost his stack back over 150,000.
