Kelzenberg was behind holding two over cards and nothing changed after the flop hit the felt.

The turn made things interesting as it gave Kelzenberg more outs with a Broadway draw and brought more counterfeit options if an ace or ten were to come on the river.

Pelton Soars to the Top

Brandon Kelzenberg opened under the gun for 200,000 and was called by Ben Hanson from the hijack before Chan Pelton three-bet to 700,000 from the button.

Action folded back to Kelzenberg who four-bet to 1.7 million and Hanson quickly released his hand while Pelton jammed for 3,910,000.

Kelzenberg snap-called and the two players tabled their hands.

Michael Winter Wins $250 NLH Seniors Event

While PokerNews is here offering live updates for the $1,100 Main Event, we’d be remiss if we didn’t tell you about some of the side events that have taken place out over the past week for the Showdown Series here at Running Aces Casino.

In Event #4: $250 NLH Seniors (50+), 168 runners created a $33,600 prize pool that was paid out to the top 18 players.

Among those to cash but fall short of the final table were George Stanford (10th - $638), Dennis Stevermer (12th - $638), Bob Van Syckle (14th - $538), Dan Hendrickson (16th - $440), and Wayne Sonnetag (18th - $470).

In the end, it was Michael Winter who collected every chip in play to capture the MSPT Trophy, along with a $5,107 payday.

John Pierce raised to 130,000 from middle position only to have Joe Barnard three-bet jam for 775,000 from the cutoff.

Action folded to Mark Sandness who four-bet over the top from the big blind getting isolation after Pierce mucked his hand.

Warner Doubles Through Kelzenberg
