Greg Gius just arrived to Bally's Black Hawk and immediately was dealt into the cutoff, where he open-jammed a fresh 25K and was called by the big blind.
Greg Gius:
Big Blind:
An ace in the window looked good for Gius but the full flop left him with gutshot Broadway and backdoor flush outs to fade. The turn eliminated the latter of the two, but still left him needing to fade four outs, which he did as completed the runout for his aces to remain best.
Samir Al-Hadwan limped under the gun and saw Patrick Suzuki jam for 20,000 in the hijack. Action folded back to Al-Hadwan and he announced a call with near certainty he was behind. Instead, the two were off to the races.
Patrick Suzuki:
Samir Al-Hadwan:
Suzuki's fives remained best on a runout of to earn him the double at Al-Hadwan's expense. Nonetheless, Al-Hadwan appears to have chipped up a bit since his last won pot, having reached 200K for a moment prior to ceding the double to Suzuki.
A pile of chips was in the middle on a board reading with heads-up action between Kobie Keir in the hijack and an opponent in the big blind. The big blind check-raised Keir's bet of 10,000 up to 35,000 and Keir called.
The river came and the big blind fired out enough chips to put Keir all in, with Keir quickly dropping a chip onto the felt to call.
Big Blind:
Kobie Keir:
Keir called correctly with top set on the wet board and earned the double as a result. His remaining stack was pushed forward to total 35,800, bringing him up above 170,000 just past the midway point of Level 11.
A total of 222 entries have now been recorded with roughly 90 minutes remaining the late registration period. The following people have recently been eliminated and have not been spotted in new seats around the room.
Phil Gioia opened to 4,500 on the button and Samir Al-Hadwan called on the button. The big blind then three-bet to 16,000, telling Gioia he started the hand with 56,000 when Gioia looked over to him. Gioia then found a fold and Al-Hadwan called behind, bringing the flop . The big blind then threw out a continuation-bet with Al-Hadwan immediately announcing he was all in and receiving a call just as quickly.
Big Blind:
Samir Al-Hadwan:
Al-Hadwan had flopped the second nuts and needed only to fade running full house outs, which he did with ease as bricks ensued to complete the runout.
Christian Larsen opened to 3,000 in early position and saw action fold around to the cutoff, who re-jammed for around 10 big blinds. Action folded back to Larsen and he called.
All-In Player:
Christian Larsen:
No paint came on a runout of , leaving Larsen's jacks best and eliminating his opponent in the process.
A player in middle position opened the action with a raise to 4,600 and was called by the player on the button. David Coffelt was in the big blind and three-bet to 12,100, sending the original raiser into the tank for over a minute before finding a fold. The player on the button then put out chips to match in preparation for postflop play.
Coffelt then stuck his remaining 16,500 into the middle prior to the flop .
"I like your style," said a player across the table with a laugh. The player on the button took about 10 seconds and then folded, earning Coffelt the pot.
