"A Lot of Aces At This Table"

Level 3 : 200/300, 300 ante
Bruce Carter
Bruce Carter

Phil Gioia opened in middle position and called a three-bet to 2,000 from Bruce Carter in the small blind, taking action heads up to a flop of {8-Clubs}{6-Spades}{9-Hearts}. Carter made a continuation-bet of 5,000 and Gioia raised all in, with Carter instantly calling.

Phil Gioia: {a-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}
Bruce Carter: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}

The dealer announced both hands as they were turned up, Gioia's first, followed by Carter's two aces.

"A lot of aces at this table," said Gioia as the runout completed {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} before making his way from the table and back to the registration desk to fire again.

Slenkovich Gets a Full Double

Level 2 : 100/200, 200 ante
Tyler Slenkovich
Tyler Slenkovich

More than 35,000 was already in the middle on a completed board of {10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{a-Spades}{5-Hearts} with heads-up action between Tyler Slenkovich in the cutoff and his opponent in the big blind. The big blind checked and Slenkovich went all in for just shy of 15,000, sending his opponent into the tank.

"Nice hand," said the big blind after more than a minute had passed, throwing in chips to call as he made his announcement.

Slenkovich tabled {a-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} for aces up and his opponent mucked, with the dealer briefly flashing {j-Diamonds}{x-Hearts} before scooping the cards into the muck pile.

Ruff Gets Three Streets of Value

Level 2 : 100/200, 200 ante
Clayton Ruff
Clayton Ruff

A heads-up pot between Clayton Ruff in early position and his opponent in middle position sent 5,000 into the middle before a flop of {9-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{5-Diamonds}. Ruff fired out 4,000 and his opponent called.

The turn came {3-Spades} and Ruff bet 5,000. His opponent thought for close to 30 seconds and then tossed in a chip to match it, bringing the river {q-Clubs}. Ruff then threw out another 5,000 and his opponent took about 10 seconds before calling once more to take the hand to showdown.

Ruff showed {k-Spades}{k-Hearts} and his opponent mucked, resulting in him taking down the pot with his two kings.

Johnson Calls Correctly

Level 1 : 100/100, 100 ante
Peter Johnson
Peter Johnson

Nearly 6,000 was in the middle on a board reading {8-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and a player in early position had a bet of 3,000 in front of him in a heads-up pot. Action was on Peter Johnson, who was in the hijack and found a call.

The river came {7-Hearts} and the early-position player bet another 5,500. Johnson thought for around half a minute and then threw in chips to call.

The early-position player showed {a-Spades}{k-Clubs} for the nut-no pair, which prompted Johnson to table two pair {8-Hearts}{7-Spades} to take down the pot.
