It's time for Day 1c of the Mid-States Poker Tour (MSPT) Black Hawk $360 Regional. A total of 385 entries have been recorded through the first two starting flights with 54 players having already advanced to Sunday's Day 2. Day 1a chip leader James Rodriguez's 675,000 well ahead of the rest of the field, though two more flights remain for the competition to try to catch him.
Players will start with 25,000 and blinds at 100/100 with a big-blind ante in play from the beginning. A total of 15 levels will be played for the day unless 12% of the field remains before that time, with all levels lasting 30 minutes. Breaks will occur after every two hours, or four levels of play, and will last 10 minutes each with the exception of a 40-minute dinner break after Level 12 (approximately 6:20 p.m. local time).
The tournament's $150K Guarantee is a virtual lock to be surpassed this afternoon as players make their way up the mountain to Bally's Black Hawk. Those who do will have unlimited chances throughout the registration period, which will last until the beginning of Level 13 (approximately 7 p.m. local time).
