Macias With a Big Stack Early

Level 3 : 200/300, 300 ante
Erik Macias
Erik Macias

Erik Macias was just seen with one of the largest stacks in the room after 90 minutes of play, having chipped up to 90,000. One hand he won along the way involved taking a player's stack after the player made trip nines and ran into Macias' flush.

Kicker Plays for Ellis

Level 3 : 200/300, 300 ante
Chris Ellis
Chris Ellis

Chris Ellis raised to 1,000 in early position and received calls from Joey Pallath in middle position and another player in the small blind. The flop came {8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{a-Spades} and the small blind checked to Ellis, who continuation-bet 1,300. Both players called.

The turn was {4-Clubs} and the small blind checked again. Ellis bet another 2,500 and Pallath announced a raise, putting 5,500 into the pot. The small blind folded and then Ellis called, with the two checking the river {3-Clubs} to take the hand to showdown.

Pallath showed {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts} upon checking back, and it was bested by Ellis' {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} to earn him the pot.

Six To Flop; No Showdown Needed

Level 3 : 200/300, 300 ante

Gary Fjeldsted open-limped in early position and saw Hung Mai limp behind in middle position. Keith Wright was next to act and joined the party, as did the player on the button before Keith Tracey completed his small blind. The big blind then checked his option, and the six went to the streets.

The dealer fanned a flop of {10-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{k-Clubs} and action checked to Fjeldsted, who bet 700. He received three calls from Wright, Tracey, and the big blind, and four continued to the turn {j-Spades}. Tracey checked and Fjeldsted bet another 1,000. Wright quickly folded and then Tracey called.

Action made its way to the river {9-Hearts} heads up and Tracey led out, firing 7,000.

"I don't have that much, so I'm not gonna call," said Fjeldsted, folding {k-Spades}{9-Spades} face-up to result in the pot being shipped across the table to Tracey.

Hemingway Wins Without Showdown

Level 2 : 100/200, 200 ante
Teresa Hemingway
Teresa Hemingway

Action was heads up on a flop of {10-Spades}{2-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} with 2,100 already in the middle. Teresa Hemingway checked in early position and the player on the button bet 800.

"Raise," said Hemingway as she fanned out two 1,000-chips in front of her. Her opponent called and then action went check-check on the turn {6-Hearts}.

The river fell {a-Hearts} and Hemingway reached for chips. She bet 3,000 and her opponent thought for just under 20 seconds before releasing his hand.

Dodson Shows Two Bullets

Level 2 : 100/200, 200 ante
Ryan Dodson
Ryan Dodson

A player raised to 400 in early position and Ryan Dodson three-bet to 2,300 one position over. Action folded back to the original raiser and he called.

The flop dropped {j-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{10-Spades} and Dodson's opponent checked to him. He made a continuation-bet of 1,800, sending his opponent into the tank. After nearly a minute had passed, the player looked back at his cards and then meekly released them onto the felt.

Dodson, also known as "Ace Dredlo," then began peeling back his two cards and then proceeded to flash them to his opponent before tossing them onto the middle of the table for all to see his {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}.
